Great Books for Christmas!

The Confidence Effect written by Grace Killelea provides specific strategies on how women can increase confidence and achieve success when they step up, speak up, and take risks to showcase their talents and skills. The book focuses on the importance of building relationships. "Leadership is cultivated and like any path, follows twists and turns, switchbacks, and pit stops that require us to improvise, adapt, and overcome along the way. We simply can't and shouldn't do it alone." Killelea stresses that women can create authentic confidence and need to practice the four "Rs" of success - relationships, reputation, results, and resilience. This powerful book enables women to claim the success that they deserve.

Tim Tebow's new book, Shaken, shares  glimpses of his journey staying grounded in the face of disappointment, criticism, and intense media scrutiny. Following an exceptional college football career with the Florida Gators and a promising playoff run with the Denver Broncos, Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow was traded to the New York Jets. He was released after one season. Tebow talks about what it takes to have resilience, to build confidence in his identity and with God. He reflects on how rejection, broken dreams, and heartbreak are tough, but can be manageable when grounded in truth. Tebow shares, "Many of us get bogged down in life because we compare ourselves to others and fall short. Our faith is about living life with an open hand, using the gifts and blessings in our lives for others.   Don't hold onto your gifts; share them to aim above the status quo and make a difference. Don't strive to be like someone else. Be who God created you to be; be you."
