Improved PCC's bike
crash analysis
, with help from USC Public Health;
- Advanced H.3615 again through the state legislature, the Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety Act;
- Served as the first ever voice for biking and walking on multiple Road Safety Assessments, a safety audit process for SCDOT's most dangerous roadways;
- Facilitated the SC Livable Communities Alliance (SCLCA) in meeting with SCDOT multiple times, to successfully achieve agreement for a Multimodal Advisory Committee;
- Added capacity to the SCLCA state Multimodal policy campaign, with a new grant;
- Co-hosted the SC Mayors Bike & Walk Summit, May 4, 2017, collaborating with the SC Safe Routes to School Resource Center and Palmetto Conservation Foundation, in Columbia, SC. This event brought together Mayors and leaders from around our state, sharing commitments and best practices in building more bike and pedestrian friendly communities. We also worked with HHI to bring the Southeast Biking Symposium to you!
