The Tiger's Roar!
Tildenville Elementary School, Winter Garden, FL
"A National Magnet School of Distinction"
Wednesday, July 22, 2020

As you are probably aware of by now, on Friday, July 17, the OCPS school board decided to offer both on-line and on-campus options for our students - Orlando Sentinel, July 17. Since then, the district has worked very quickly to answer as many questions as possible so our students, their families, and our educators can plan ahead for the new Friday, August 21 start date - FAQ webpage and other reopening details. We expect to have more answers in the very near term, but I encourage our Tiger families to visit the OCPS school reopening webpage today. We will also use our website, Facebook page and The Tiger's Roar! to pass along important back-to-school information whenever it becomes available.

Here is the OCPS 2020-2021 back-to-school registration link. Parents may choose from three (3) options: https://ocps.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_aaAe7vEYzJvDkwd

Thank you for looking over this second summer break issue and please take care, stay healthy, and be kind to one another. Have a great week!

School Reopening
Please make your choice by Friday, July 24th

OCPS is committed to ensuring every student has a promising and successful future. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are required by the Commissioner of Education's Emergency Order to open schools with safety measures in place for students and staff. We are also committed to providing options to parents and teachers.

The 3 options are: Our plans remain fluid during these unprecedented times, but the School Board approved sending the innovative model plan to the state July 17. Parents and guardians are encouraged to review the choices to better understand what might be best for their families. To maximize safety efforts, OCPS strongly encourages selecting the Innovative OCPS LaunchEd@Home model, if you are able to keep your child at home.

* The reopening plan for OCPS can be found here.

* Parents please review this website (FAQ) to help answer many of your reopening questions per model.

One of OCPS' organizational strengths shows up again as we prepare to get 2020-2021 off to a successful start. Sadly, many students in Florida and throughout America still do not have access to either the Internet or computer technology like our students do.
