4th Annual "Shop With Your School Cop" Event Brings Holiday Cheer to Glades Region
PBCSD School Police Officers did their part to brighten the holidays of underprivileged children in the Glades Region during the 4th annual "Shop With Your School Cop" event. 

Officer Tanzanerria Allen works tirelessly organizing the event, with the children's smiles and joy making it all worthwhile.

"It's a time of giving, it's a time of love [and] it's a time of sharing," she said. 

School Board Member Marcia Andrews is proud of the annual event, which helps to strengthen the relationship between School Police Officers and students. 

"It was just a blessing to know that our children really know that police officers are there for them....to love them, support them and to help them grow," she shared.

Seminole Ridge High School senior Robert Florexil has a passion for building which is being fostered in the school's Weitz Construction Academy.

His family owns a construction company in Haiti that Florexil hopes to one day head and expand to the United States. In the meantime, he's showing true dedication for the craft by working with Habitat for Humanity to build homes for those in need, while also setting himself apart from his classmates with his drive and dedication.
Business and Community Members Gather For Networking and Discussion at Vendor Fair
More than 100 vendors, business leaders, and community members convened in the Board Room of the Fulton-Holland Educational Services Center in November for the inaugural School District of Palm Beach County Prime Vendor Fair.

Under the leadership of Dicky Sykes, the District's newly appointed Director of Diversity in Business Practices, the networking and outreach event gave small, minority, and women-owned businesses the opportunity to connect with prime vendors in order to obtain knowledge about the vendors and their pre-qualification process.  Read more...

New Year, New Career: Prospective Educators Find Their Perfect Fit at GladesFest 2017
Administrators from the 12 Glades Region schools met with prospective teachers at the GladesFest Teacher Job Fair on December 15. C andidates came from a variety of backgrounds, including one former New York City police officer. 

For school leaders, GladesFest was all about finding the right educators who would be able to hit the ground running and make an impact in the lives of students. 

"When you think about the power of a teacher, you think about the impact of a teacher that will last a lifetime," shared Principal Linda Edgecomb of Glade View Elementary School. 
UPDATE: Important 2017 Tax Year Information for All Employees

Each calendar year, the School District is required by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to furnish all employees with a Form W-2 Wage and Tax Statement. 

The District is also required to furnish all employees eligible for medical benefits Form 1095-C, Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage. Click here to learn more about the process to receive these forms electronically.
