Matthew 1:23

""Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel" (which means, God with us)."
Christmas Presence

It's Christmastime! The snow (maybe), the music, the cookies, the decorated trees and homes, the shopping and gift-giving and receiving, the stockings, the parties, the time with family and friends, and most importantly, the celebration of Jesus, coming to earth as a baby, to deal with sin and save the lost.

All of these things are what make Christmas, Christmas. We could do without most of it and it would still be Christmas, but it all adds to the ambiance of the season, especially getting together with those we love and simply spending time together.

Some of us may not be with those we love whether it's due to death, sickness, work or long-distance. Some of us may be with those we love, but it's still not great because of brokenness within those relationships. Grief, hurt, frustration or maybe bitterness exist and make this time tough. Really tough. Nothing and no one can deny it. But...

One thing and One person can help. Really help. The presence of Christ, Christ Himself in our lives, is really the only way to find complete satisfaction and joy this Christmas. By simply taking the time to humble ourselves and turn our feelings, our minds, our eyes and our hearts toward Jesus, we can truly experience His healing presence.

Because God is good. And because He sent His Son to earth, His presence is with us, then as a physical person, and now, through the Holy Spirit. He is with us! Not just around us everywhere, but with faith, within us as well. May this be the best presence you seek and get this Christmas!

In the Life: Hidden Underneath
By: Kristina Waltman

The good friends, good grades, successful sports career and being a good Christian girl were what she relied on, avoiding the struggle that was happening within. What appeared good on the outside wasn't always the truth. What were some of those things going on underneath the surface and why were they there? Take a look in to some more of Kristina's childhood as she continues to share her story.

Virtuous Woman: Serving and Teamwork

The goal of the FCA Virtuous Woman Curriculum is to present to women in the arena of athletics the privilege and challenge of learning and living out Biblical Womanhood in all areas of life. This goal is accomplished by introducing character traits found in female biblical characters that they can model in their own personal life.

Virtuous Woman: Serving and Teamwork is a 10-session, question-driven small group study that focuses on two of the four key values of FCA:  Serving and Teamwork.

Part 3 from Focus on the Family's Series,
"Male and Female: By Design"
by Jeff Johnston

This six part series confronts both the issue we're facing in our society today about male and female differences and how it intersects with what Christian's believe based on God's Word.

*This is in no way comprehensive but rather just a glimpse into a subject that requires extensive research and even more study in God's Word, prayer, and listening to the Holy Spirit. It simply sheds some awareness on something that is good to question and look for Truth about.

*We are looking at this series as a whole, not just one article. We understand there is vague wording that requires more research. We also recognize the lack of Scripture on some points, which is where we really need to look first.

*God extends immeasurable and unending grace and love to us. It's okay to be confused and to question. It's good to question. We just want that to motivate you to seek to find answers and to seek Jesus first in finding those answers.

*This is not necessarily reflective of the views of Winning Women or FCA.
