TSA Competes at State

     Congratulations to our STEM TSA Teams! This past weekend, 180 of our students represented STEM at the TSA Conference! With around 1,600 students in attendance, our school represented more than 10% of the participants. TSA stands for Technology Student Association, and consists of over 40 events, from Rubber Band Powered Car, to Website Design, to Challenging Tech Issues, to Fashion Design, and more.  

We had two students elected as State officers for TSA: junior Hope Lowry as Reporter, and freshman Sophia Watts as Treasurer.

Our High School chapter had twelve teams placing in  Animatronics, Children's Stories, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Engineering Design, Fashion Design, Global Logistics, Robotic Design, Structural Design and Engineering, System Control & Technology, Technology Bowl, and Technology Problem Solving.  With individuals recognised in Colorado Statesman, Computer Aided Design - Architecture, Dragster, Essays on Technology, Flight, Pin Design, Prepared Presentation, Rubber Band Powered Car, and STEM Careers.

Our Middle School chapter had 27 teams placing in  Biotechnology, Catapult Design, Challenging Technology Issues, Chapter Service Project, Chapter Team, Children's Stories, Coding, Community Service Video, Construction Challenge, Cash Test, Fashion Design, Inventions & Innovations, Junior Solar Sprint, Leadership Strategies, Mass Productions, Medial Technology, Microcontroller, Off the Grid, On Demand Video, Sea Perch, Structural Engineering, Systems Control, and Website Design. With  individuals recognised in CAD Foundations, Career Preparations, Digital Photography, Dragster, Electrical Applications, Essays on Technology, Mousetrap Tractor Pull, and Rubber Band Powered Car.

We are very proud of our STEM students who competed well and represented our school with respect and integrity!

Next Canvas in the Classroom

Canvas in the Classroom is happening again this coming Tuesday! There is still time to sign up! Another great chance for Elementary students to be guided through a fun painting experience. Register here, and select the "STEM School - March 6th CITC." Students will come home with their own 11"x17" painting of "Poppin Shades." $18 for 2hr guided painting, and snack is included. ULA Payload Registration Open

Did you watch Falcon Heavy launch? Do you want to begin learning how to launch a car into space?  Interested in some hands-on Aerospace and Electronics project learning this summer, while having fun? Official registration for our Summer 2018 ULA Rocket Payload program is open.  It is available to all students currently in 5th Grade or higher.  There are beginner and advanced classes available.
