Bouncing Back To School
There was an amazing article about a woman who lost almost everything in the flood - pictures, memories, and her entire home. She was lucky to escape with her pets, not to mention her life. The most shocking part was how she concluded her interview. “We’ll bounce right back,” she said.
Her situation and mentality towards adversity is shared by many folks in our community. Hundreds of volunteers across the city poured out their sweat and put priorities aside to fill and lay sandbags for their neighbors in need. People of all different ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds worked tirelessly around the clock toward one common goal: to help each other achieve normalcy. It’s a reminder that Reedsburg isn’t just a place to live, it’s a place to call home.
It seems that the harder we fall, the higher we bounce. Undoubtedly, our students will face a downpour of challenges this year, both academic and personal. It’s during these times, that young people learn the most about themselves. Rest assured, our staff is beyond prepared and excited to navigate those muddy waters alongside our children.
Our staff has been working meticulously this summer to maximize the efficiency of their classroom spaces, routines, and lesson plans. You’d be hard-pressed to find a more organized individual than an elementary school teacher.
Through continuous collaboration, our staff is also perfecting the science behind their teaching methods. Together, they meet regularly to analyze assessment data and adjust their approach to meet the needs of all students. It’s exciting to see teachers working together towards Pineview’s mission:
“We will work collaboratively to provide our students an excellent education.”
Lastly, our staff’s number one priority is making Pineview a fun, electric place to learn where all students feel a strong sense of belonging. This will be another incredible year full of smiles and celebrations. The sky's the limit, and those skies are crystal clear.
