Camp Expo This Saturday
Get a sneak peek of Cub Scout summer camp during our  Camp Expo  at Beaumont on March 3.   • Radical Robotics: All youth ages 7-13 are invited to Lindenwood University on March 10. Participants will learn basic robotics by building and testing their own robot that they get to take home! Our new robot, the T4 Transforming Solar Robot, can be built four different ways and is totally solar powered.
  • Boy Scout NOVA Day: Join experts at the Saint Louis Science Center on March 17 to earn the Let it Grow NOVA and Animal Science Merit Badge. Scouts will spend the day working, creating, and problem solving as they learn about agriculture and plant and animal science. This exclusive experience in agricultural innovation fulfills all requirements for the NOVA and merit badge.
  • Cub Scout STEM Days at Vatterott College in Berkeley, MO (March 17) and Fairview Heights, IL (April 7). Tigers earn Curiosity Intrigue and Magical Mysteries Adventure, Wolves earn Air of the Wolf Adventure, Bears earn Make it Move Adventure, and Webelos earn (most of) Earth Rocks Adventure.
NYLT Helps Scouts Develop Their Own Leadership Style
Did you know:  The Pack and Paddle National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) course was created by GSLAC in 2004. We are the only council in the country to offer this unique land- and water-based NYLT program! This week-long training helps Scouts and Venturers grow and improve their leadership skills. It's highly touted in the Scouting world as one of the best leadership courses for youth. Register now for NYLT.
Earn Money For Summer Camp With Camp Cards
The Camp Card sale is underway, but it's not too late to earn money for camp! Scouts earn $2.50 for every Camp Card sold. Money can be used towards camp fees, equipment, uniforms or other Scout gear! Cub Scout Camp Spotlight: Cub Adventure Camp
At Cub Adventure Camp, we make camping easy! During this four-day, three-night camp, meals are provided in a dining hall and tents/cots are all set up and ready for you to move into upon your arrival to Camp May at Beaumont Scout Reservation or Camp Warren LevisScouts will participate in program areas such as the pool, Mud Cave, archery, BB guns, STEM, nature, and outdoor skills.  At every area, Scouts will work on awards and advancements for their Cub Scout rank. 
College Of Commissioner Science

Den Chief Training
Do you have a Scout looking for a leadership role who enjoys working with younger Scouts? Den Chief just might be the perfect job! A den chief is a Boy Scout who assists a Cub Scout den leader at meetings and other Scouting events while  mentoring Cub Scouts and acquainting them with the world of Boy Scouting. The next Den Chief Training takes place on Saturday, March 24 at Beaumont Scout Reservation. 
Updated Youth Protection Training
In February 2018,  the BSA rolled out updated youth protection training for staff, leaders, and parents. By October 1, 2018, all new and currently registered leaders will be required to complete the updated training. The updated training replaces other Youth Protection trainings and is required for all BSA programs. Training is available online 24/7 at: www.scouting.org/youthprotection. Few Spots Remain In Powder Horn Course
During the Powder Horn weekend course, participants will learn about, and in some cases experience, activities such as shooting sports, climbing/rappelling, caving, flag folding/retirement, trek planning, wilderness first aid, sailing, orienteering, religious services, STEM, and much more. This course is designed to motivate and prepare adult and youth leaders (ages 16-20) to provide their unit with a variety of safe high-adventure activities. Protestant Religious Award Recognition Day
If you have earned a Protestant Religious Award since January 2017, the Greater St. Louis Area Council wants to recognize your achievement. Youth and adult award recipients and their families are invited to the 2018 Protestant Religious Award Recognition Day at Beaumont Scout Reservation on March 10 beginning at 3 p.m. RSVP by March 1 to [email protected] or 314-256-3106.
Challenge Course/Rock Climbing Re-Qualification
If your instructor card for challenge course or rock climbing is expired or about to expire, get re-qualified during this one-day course at Beaumont Scout Reservation on March 4. 
Cub Scout Fishing Adult Leader Training
Learn how your pack can offer an age-appropriate fishing program for your Cub Scouts, where to borrow the equipment, and how to get free supplies to host a fishing event. This free training takes place Saturday, March 24 at Emerson Center at Beaumont Scout Reservation. Register now.
Honor A Leader or Scout With The James E. West Fellowship Recognition
Consider honoring a special Scout leader or Scout with a memorable recognition that will benefit the local Scouting program for generations to come with a James E. West Fellowship. A $1,000 James E. West Fellowship gift goes into the Greater St. Louis Area Council's endowment fund where a portion of the interest supports operating costs each year. James E.
