Important 2018-2019 Enrollment Information
Good News! Change in Multi-Sibling Tuition Discount!
For CCDS families that are eligible for the multi-sibling discount, the Board of Trustees has added a discount for families sending two children to the school, as well as a third and fourth child. The discount is as follows for all families not on financial aid:
Discount for second child: 15%
Discount for third child: 25%
Discount for fourth child: 50%

The Annual Giving Campaign is made up of yearly gifts from parents, faculty and staff, the Board of Trustees, grandparents, alumni, and friends of the school. Each year is a separate drive designed to meet the

of the current year. No donation is too small.

Hot Lunch
Program
FIRM DEADLINE FOR MARCH AND APRIL HOT LUNCH ORDERS IS
FEBRUARY 28, 2018!
Please check the school calendar for any dates that your child will not be in need of a school lunch. There will be no reimbursements for any orders past the deadline date
.
- Please keep in mind when ordering and selecting your menu items for the month you must complete the ordering process.
- Be sure to "CHECK OUT" the order and "PAY INVOICE" and finally click on "PROCEED". Only when you receive an invoice marked as "PAID" will the order be confirmed.
- Not completing the process will result in an "UNCONFIRMED ORDER". All unconfirmed orders that pass the ordering DEADLINE DATE will not process, which will result in your child not receiving the anticipated lunch item.
After you activate your account, you will need to input our school code. You are able to enter a different code for each child if necessary.
- For grades K-4 use code: 185
- For grades 5-8 use code: 1a7

- All payments and orders must take place online. No orders may be dropped off or submitted at school.

An All New Coffee & Zoom With Mike

Parents Association Meeting
Thank you to all the families who attended this week’s Coffee with Mike and P.A. meeting, both in person and online. I think we set a new attendance record! We have already made plans to improve the online sound and video for next month’s meeting on March 14. If you have any other suggestions for future recordings or meeting topics please let us know.

On the evening of April 28, 2018, CCDS will be hosting a retirement celebration for Mrs. Cotter and Madame Sommers, two teachers who have devoted many years to the students of CCDS. More information to come.

CCDS Choir News
The next major event for Choir is the Elementary/Intermediate Choir Festival on Saturday, March 3rd, at Coventry High School.

Olympics in Physical Education
Grades 3rd-8th held Winter Olympic Games in class this week. Events included the physical education version of biathlon, hockey, and luge. Students chose countries they wanted to represent and competed for medals.

CCDS Sports
3rd - 5th Grade Intramural Basketball
Intramural basketball began Friday, February 2nd for 3rd-5th grade students. Players will meet in the gym from 3:20 - 4:30 p.m. on Fridays through March 2nd.
Registration is now closed.
CCDS Basketball
The boys beat Lippman in the first playoff game but lost to Lawrence in their second game. The girls lost to Old Trail in the first round and lost to Gilmour in the consolation game. Thank you to Coach Deuble and Coach Minner for a great season!
CCDS Track
Conditioning begins Monday, March 5th, weather permitting. All athletes must have a current physical and Lindsay's Law form in order to participate. Contact

3rd - 5th Grade Girls on the Run
Girls on the Run encourages girls to recognize their individual strengths and celebrate connections with others. The program will meet after school until 5:00 on Mondays and Thursdays beginning in March, under the direction of 2nd grade teacher Madison Backus and 4th grade teacher Kellie Boyd, with help from me. It culminates with a non-competitive 5k at Walsh University the morning of May 19th. Flyers for Girls on the Run were sent home with 3rd-5th grade girls and registration is online at
