March Madness
March Madness is upon us. If you and your family want in on the action, read on for the best family-friendly activities in March. Whether you dive into family swim with your little mermaids and mermen, have a ball at one of our preschool drop-ins or get into the game with our spring Adult Sports leagues, this month's top picks are fit for champions.
Hip Hop Hooray!
Family Easter Celebration
Hip Hop Hooray Easter is on the way! No-bunny does Easter quite like Chandler's Family Easter Celebration. Hippity Hop over to Snedigar Sportsplex March 31 for "egg-citing" activities. This free, family-friendly event features over 12,000 eggs and four scheduled egg hunts for kids up to nine years of age. The morning will also be hopping with Easter crafts, face painting, interactive amusement, musical performances and more.

Time to Face the Music
Jazz Festival
Listen up, Chandler; it's time to face the music. Next month, Downtown Chandler hits a high note with the return of the Chandler Jazz Festival. The annual concert series puts the spotlight on both renowned jazz musicians from across the country and local bands for free, family-friendly performances to kick-off April's Jazz Appreciation Month. Music lovers can enjoy must-see sets from the acclaimed Bad News Blues Band and Francine Reed - Lewis Nash All Star Band. Tune in online for the complete festival schedule.

Family Season Pass Sale

Splish splash into savings! Our annual Family Season Pass Sale starts March 10. Families of four can save 15% off a season pass (valid March through November 2018) and enjoy unlimited access to all six Chandler Aquatic Centers. Open to Chandler Residents only, passes can be purchased online or at Hamilton and Mesquite Groves Aquatic Centers. Hurry, sale ends March 25.

Pop by our favorite drop-in classes for your preschooler! As soon as they start to babble, they can dabble. One cool thing about being a kid is the chance to grow through imagination and discovery. And that's where drop-in classes come in. No registration is required when participating in Chandler Parks & Recreation Drop-ins; and there's no long term commitment. Just pop by your local recreation center and let your little co-pilot soak up the fun. Upcoming activities include Ball Bonanza , Bubble Blast and Free Family Bird Walks .
Summer Camp

You'll have happy campers on your hands after signing them up for one of our Spring Break Camps! We offer five campsites that'll make 'em want s'more! From arts and crafts to sports to nature adventures each week is jam-packed with enriching indoor and outdoor activities and special field trips. Flexible camp options include your choice of all day, half day and specific weeks. Sessions run March 12-23 and are available the Chandler Community Center, Environmental Education Center, Snedigar Recreation Center and Tumbleweed Recreation Center.

Looking for a way to leave your mark on the Chandler community? Join us alongside the Mayor's Youth Commission Friday, March 9 for the Graffiti Painted Positive Art Contest. Blending street art, community, and education,the MYC invites you to showcase your artistic talents for a chance to win! Top three entries will be featured in a yearlong Parks & Recreation graffiti awareness campaign. Each participant will receive a 24x36 sheet of plywood, safety equipment and spray paints necessary to create their art piece. Space is limited; registration required.

Don't get sidelined this spring. Get into the game with Chandler Adult Sports. Spring League Registration opens March 19 and continues through the month. Come run with us in celebration of Disability Awareness Month! Join Chandler's  Therapeutic Recreation community March 1 in Tumbleweed Park for our annual  Chandler Fun Run . The free one-mile run-walk boasts a fun, carnival-like atmosphere complete with music, face painters, balloon artists, photo booth and lunch. Lace up your sneakers it's time to get running!
