With a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Karolina Björkman has an enriched background in Talent Management in large international organizations. She started off at SAAB Automobile (General Motors) as an HR Business Partner and Talent Management Specialist. In her daily work, she was involved with recruitment, talent and performance management, organizational design and development for local as well as global functions. She also played a key role in SAAB's Diversity Plan to increase women leader representation. After five years, Karolina moved on to becoming a Talent Development Manager at ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems AB in Malmo, Sweden, which are system providers for non-nuclear submarines and high-end naval vessels. There she gained experience within leadership development and creation and implementation of processes, tools and activities within area of Talent Management.

Karolina's journey at Baxter began in Lund, Sweden where she played a key role to ensure successful integration of Talent management processes to newly acquired Gambro AB. Before her move to the US she was the Head of Talent Management EMEA. In 2016 she was transferred to Deerfield, Illinois, where Baxter has its Headquarter, and has since then held the position as Senior Manager in Change and Talent Management. She supports Baxter's Business Transformation Organization, which is a unit that enables Baxter to focus on value-added work that will propel their business results as well as ensures accelerated growth and innovation. In parallel she is the Global Talent Management lead for Baxter’s R&D organization. 

Karolina has been a winner of the Baxter HR Award twice.
