FEATURED WINES
We can't wait to get home and pour ourselves some dinner...oops we mean wine! (staff selections):
Madison's Pick:
Reichsrat Von Buhl, Deidesheimer Herrgottsacker, Pfalz Riesling 2013
Dry, minerally, and refreshing as hell with intense citrus and orchard fruits - this riesling rocks and is capable of some killer food pairings. It was a Von Buhl riesling that toasted the opening of the Suez Canal and Otto von Bismarck was a pretty big fan. I'll have what they are having.
-$29.99
Katrina's Pick:
2016 Katherine Goldschmidt, Crazy Creek, Cabernet 2016
Do you want a Cabernet with a loud & luscious California fruit profile, but aged in French Oak like a great Bordeaux, at a cost of under $25? Well, Mr. Hard-To-Please, do we have a wine for you! "Katherine" is a beautiful Alexander Valley Cab with notes of red & black fruits, delicate vanilla, dark spices, and mocha. Cheers! -$23.99
Darrin's Pick:
Pedroncelli "Bushnell Vineyard" Zinfandel 2015, Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma, CA
Deep and dark with loads of spice and dark chocolate, this has everything I love about Dry Creek Zin. It is firm and structured, yet giving. The 15% alcohol is barely noticable, since there is so much else going on. 16 months in American oak (40% New) lends a sweet edge to this dry wine. 3% Petite Sirah in the blend brings heft and high-tones to the fruit as well as a purple hue. A stop at Ted Cook's 19th Hole for Bar-b-que seems to be warranted on the night I'm taking this one home. -$24.99
Dave's Pick:
Ferraris Agricola, 'Sensazioni' Monferrato Bianco 2016
It being the middle of February, I know we all need something bright and sunny in our glass. The guaranteed answer to this quandary is Luca Ferraris' Sensazioni. Luca, under the influence of Bonny Doon's Randall Grahm, decided to scrap his Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc to plant Viognier in Northern Italy. The result is an astoundingly balanced version of a typically unruly grape. This is spring cheer in a glass with sturdy fruit, hinted floral overtones and vibrant acidity. It's flat out fun to drink and tastes more expensive than it is. -$17.99

NEW & EXCITING
SPIRITS
Tattersall Straight Rye Whiskey
"Big, bold and spicy. This is a Monongahela-style whiskey distilled from 100% rye. Perfect for rye purists, it’s aged for at least two years in charred white oak sourced and coopered in Minnesota. Think of it as Bourbon’s bolder cousin. Enjoy it neat or in classics like an Old Fashioned or Manhattan." - Tattersall Distilling

Tattersall Stargrazer Malt Whiskey
Aged at 120 Proof in Charred Virgin American Oak Barrels
"We partnered with our neighbors at Bauhaus Brewlabs and created a whiskey based off of their Stargrazer beer, a German Style Schwarzbier. We take the base grains of the Stargrazer beer, create a malt whiskey, and then add the hops in afterwards to replicate the finished beer. The maltiness of the Stargrazer shines through in the unaged whiskey." - Tattersall Distilling

Jos. A. Magnus & Co. Vigilant Gin
The creator of our staff's new favorite bourbon set out to make the perfect cocktail gin. Vigilant Gin is the good looking new kid on the block in the gin world. This London-style dry gin showcases Oregon juniper berries, fresh herbs, and bright citrus (featuring oro blanco grapefruit & bergamot orange). It has good palate weight and roundness with a complex finish. Distilled in Washington, DC, it's worthy of a spot at your bar for the packaging alone, but makes fantastic a gin cocktail as well.

WINE
La Rioja Alta "Vina Alberdi" Rioja Reserva 2011, Spain, $23.99
" A classic and tightly knit Rioja with dried berry, spice and cedar character on the nose and palate. Medium body, very fine tannins and a flavorful finish. Acidity carries the wine and then the tannins. Gorgeous." 94pts James Suckling

Cakebread Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, Napa, CA, $84.99
This has become harder and harder to get as the winery insists that this iconic Cab is sold almost exclusively to restaurants. If you've got a vertical you're trying to maintain, it would be better to act sooner than later.

Cantina Terlano "Terlaner Classico" 2016, Alto Adige, Italy, $34.99
"A delightful blend of 60% Pinot Bianco, 30% Chardonnay and 10% Sauvignon Blanc. This wine really delivers the goods with a clean and buoyant bouquet followed by beautifully polished aromas of stone fruit, dried sage, passion fruit and a touch of piquant white peppercorn. The effect is super snappy and zesty, and the wine awakens your taste buds in a cheerful and direct manner. This vintage really stands apart for its excellence. This is a fantastic wine at an honest price." 92pts Wine Advocate

Masi "Costaserra" Amarone della Valpolicella 2011, Veneto, Italy, $59.99
" This shows ripe sweet cherries with spices and cigar box. Full with lots of juicy fruit but wonderful precision and linearity. Incredible balance. Drink now or hold." 94pts James Suckling
