"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."
-Helen Keller

CHLT would like to thank the following foundations and companies for their generous grant support!
Congratulations, Paige Vecchiarelli!
Winner of the Best Environmental Science Project in the
Granby Elementary Science Fair
Paige Vecchiarelli was awarded the Best Environmental Science Project at the Granby Elementary Science Fair on February 21st for her Scientific Methods research project in Erosion Control. Paige tested the effects of top soil, mulch, rocks, and straw/hay on water runoff by determining the volume of runoff produced and the morbidity of the runoff. Her results showed that mulch was the most efficient at absorbing water and has the least turbidity; straw/hay was the second most efficient.

Paige was awarded a certificate and gift card in Honor of  Carolyn Hackman. It was her wish to provide education of land conservation and management to young residents of Grand County, so that such knowledge and appreciation will be carried into their adult years.
Big thanks to Bistro 28 at Pole Creek Golf Club for hosting a recent benefit night!

Their support furthers our conservation work here in Grand County.
So many of you shared that you reached out to the Health, Insurance, & Environment committee members, regarding House Bills 1122, 1123, and 1194. Thank you for taking action!

The original hearing on February 15 was postponed and is now expected to occur on March 15. Read more about the bills here:
