Don't be left in the dark! PowerSchool is Anza's only source of parent/guardian contact information. Please update your
information by 12/15 so that we have the best way to contact you in case of an emergency and so you can receive the most current information about your child's classroom. Access IDs and passwords were sent at the beginning of the school year.

All this is done by Parent Volunteers like yourself, so some information may not be readily available yet. We hope to have everything by mid-September. 2018-19 Kindergarten Enrollment New!
|
The dates for enrollment at the Family Welcome Center are: Monday January 22 - Friday February 2.

GATE Testing for 4th and 5th Grade - Coming Soon New!
|
GATE testing for 4th and 5th grade students will take place on-site during February and March.
We will be offering GATE testing to 4th and 5th grade students who:
1) Have never been GATE tested in TUSD
2) Have only taken the GATE test in TUSD once before
Students who have already been administered GATE testing through TUSD
twice are not eligible for testing. If your child qualifies for 4-5th grade GATE
testing and you would like your student to participate, please complete and
return your signed permission slip to your student's teacher as soon as
possible, but no later than
December 15, 2017
. Permission slips will be sent
home with all 4-5th grade students, however students who are already identified
GATE in TUSD do not need to retest.
Unlike the process for universal 3rd grade GATE testing, 4-5th grade GATE
testing requires parents to submit a signed permission slip.

Parents and Guardians of Anza Elementary,
We are happy to announce the launch of our new student information system, PowerSchool.
PowerSchool will be replacing Parent Connect this fall of 2017. In order to access the new portal you will need to create a new account. This can be done by visiting https://torrance.powerschool.com and selecting the Create Account tab. It is very important that you submit an accurate email address. We recommend the Google Chrome or Firefox browser to access the portal.
You will need your student's Access ID and Password to link your child to your account. If you have multiple children in the district, you will receive a separate letter for each child, which you can link to your newly created account.
Example of Student Access ID and Password
[NAME OF CHILD] Access ID is XXXXXXXXX
[NAME OF CHILD] Access Password is #####
Please keep your passwords confidential so that only you can access the information.
Once you have your account created and child(ren) linked, we ask that you click on the Registration link to update your information and review district agreements.
