Winter Garbage Reminders
With the official start of Winter only a couple of weeks away, residents are reminded of the following tips for Automated Garbage Collection. These guidelines help ensure safe and effective winter collections.
  • Wheeled carts should be placed near the end of driveways. Keep in mind that carts should be no closer than three feet from any obstacle (parked car, other cart, snow bank etc.).
  • Do not place carts in a location where snow plows may hit them. Wheeled carts must be kept from the roadway so as not to interfere with snow clearing operations.
  • On garbage day, carts must be placed for collection by 8 am. Please return carts back near your home as soon as possible after collections. To improve our night-time snow clearing operations, please avoid placing carts curbside the night before your collection.
  • Keep your cart clear of snow and ice and ensure the lid opens when the cart is tipped.
  • Please use extra caution when wheeling carts in snowy and icy conditions.
Winter weather can affect the Town's garbage collection. Any changes to the schedule will be posted on the Town's website, social media and through the Pingstreet App. You can subscribe to receive notices.

2018 Budget
Final preparations are underway for Budget 2018. The Town thanks everyone who participated in this year's Budget Consultations. The valuable feedback you provided has been reviewed, and is being considered as we prepare Budget 2018.

Residents indicated they would like to see continued improvements to our road infrastructure, and essential programs and services. The 2018 Municipal Budget for the Town of Paradise will be presented during the regular public council meeting on December 19, 2017. Coverage of Budget 2018 will be available on the Town's website and social media channels.

Mitten Trees
To mark the start of the Christmas Season, Town of Paradise employees decided to do "Mitten Trees" and collected hats, mittens, gloves and toiletries for youth in need. Employees really enjoyed getting into the spirit of Christmas and helping those less fortunate stay warm in the winter. The donations went to Choices for Youth who came to Town facilities on December 1 to get all the donations.
