Advent Quiet Day

We had a blessed time discussing our various backgrounds, stories, and religious communities. We talked about the religious life, intentional community, new monasticism, and spiritual practices. We shared Morning Prayer from the Anamchara Fellowship tradition and we celebrated the Eucharist, remembering the life and ministry of Thomas Merton. It was the first of what will hopefully be many more such gatherings.

Getting The Most Out of Your Church Building

9:00 am to 12 pm
Saturday, February 3, 2018
St. Asaph's Church, 27 Conshohocken State Rd, Bala Cynwyd
With The Rev. Canon Kirk Berlenbach and The Rev. Canon Betsy Ivey

Our church buildings and grounds are remarkable assets. Their sacred beauty helps to define who we are and they create the space that hosts our fellowship and much of our ministry. Yet they also require maintenance, renovation and upkeep and too often go underutilized.

This workshop will provide you with guidance and resources to help your congregation get the most out of these precious assets.

Canon Ivey, Canon Berlenbach and our Diocesan Property Manager, Mr. McCauley will go over how to assess your building's potential, how to make it more attractive and user-friendly on a budget, the basics of leases, kitchen use and rental, how to provide Wi-Fi, and more.

Send your property committee, vestry, sexton and clergy. Everyone is welcome.

Breakfast will be provided.

The $5 registration fee covers cost of food.
