Elementary parents, middle school will provide supervision at the end of the day for students who would like to stay for the movie, instead of the students having to leave at dismissal and then return a few minutes later for the movie at 4:00pm. Supervision will be provided in Ms. Cleary's room at the end of the middle school hallway. Parents do not need to attend the movie with students. Please pick up at 5:30pm.

2018-19 SCHOOL CALENDARS

The Preschool and K-8th grade school calendars are available for the 2018-19 school year. You may also access the school calendars on the  WCA website Please note the late start of  September 5  (1st - 8th only),  September 10-11  (Kindergarten Staggered Start), and  September 17  (Preschool/PreK). The late start is necessary to allow for the completion of the middle school building. Parents will have the option to enroll their child(ren) in the WCA Summer Camp, which will run through Friday, August 31 (more details will be provided as summer approaches).

2018-19 SCHOOL HOURS

Effective for the 2018-19 school year, school hours will be as follows:

Preschool AM 8:3oam - 11:15am
Preschool PM 12:30pm - 3:15pm
Half Day K AM 8:00am - 11:30am
Half Day K PM 12:00pm - 3:30pm
Full Day K - 4th grade 8:15am - 3:15pm
5th - 8th Grade 8:00am - 3:30pm

We will be staggering the Elementary and Middle School start and end times to accommodate our increased enrollment. For the families who have children who will start school at both 8:00am and 8:15am, and end school at 3:15pm and 3:30pm, you will still be able to drop-off and pick-up all of your children at the same time.

Drop-off Example: If you have a Half Day AM Kindergartner (starts at 8am), a 4th grader (starts at 8:15am), and a 6th grader (starts at 8:00am), you may drop them all off together as early as 7:45am. Your Half Day Kindergartner and 6th grader will go directly to class, and supervision will be provided for your 4th grader until school starts at 8:15am.  For parents who need to drop their children off earlier than 7:45am, please use the Explorers Club Before Care.

Pick-up Example: If you have a Half Day PM Kindergartner (ends at 3:30pm), a 4th grader (ends at 3:15pm) and a 6th grader (ends at 3:30pm), you may pick them all up together at 3:30pm. Since your 4th grader's school day will end at 3:15pm, supervision will be provided until 3:30pm. For parents who need to pick up their children after 3:30pm, please use the Explorers Club After Care.

The school day for Full Day K - 4th grade students will be shortened by 30 minutes.  This time will be taken from unstructured times and will not affect the core classes/foreign language. Grade level teams will determine their specific schedules next year.

Preschool families will need to pick-up and drop-off at the preschool specific start and end times
(see above).

Questions? Please call the school office at 303-814-5200. Thank you!
