NCI member Mark Behlmann was honored with the Polaris Award of Merit from the Boy Scouts for his service to the North Star District. It is the highest award a volunteer can get from the District.  
City of Ferguson Special Business District has been selected in a competitive application process to participate in a cost-sharing Affiliate Grant that provides training, mentoring and technical services to revitalization programs in Missouri's historic commercial districts. MORE INFO 
Ferguson-Florissant School District fourth-graders Taliyah Williams and Zamylah Alexander were the only students from FFSD to win the "Bonkers for Birds" writing contest presented by the National Great Rivers Museum out of over 2,102 student submissions. PRESS RELEASE

awarded NCI members Nathan and Christina Bennet as Business Leaders of 2018 for the hard work they put into making Hendel's Restaurant, a remarkable North County eatery, and for their tireless effort in making a positive impact on the North County community. 
Trinity Catholic High School boys and girls basketball teams won their holiday tournaments over Christmas break. This is the first time both basketball teams have won their holiday tournaments. Junior football player Isaiah Williams received the Gatorade Player of the Year award for the state of Missouri, and Junior DaJuan Young received the Martin Luther King, Jr. Model of Justice Award. 
Little Bit Foundation celebrated the start of its programming at Lemasters and Danforth Elementary Schools with ribbon cutting ceremonies and a book fair. WEBSITE 
Marygrove's Sister Helen will retire in the next few months after 35 years of leading Marygrove and 50 years in child welfare. She will be honored at Marygrove's Bloom celebration March 2. EVENT INFO
