2017 NCM Christmas Project
Imagine you're a child. Now, imagine what it would be like if your family had to flee from your home in the middle of the night because of violence or persecution. You're shocked. You're frightened. You're vulnerable.

To be vulnerable can mean a lot of things: hunger, sickness, being alone, nowhere safe to lay your head, lack of education. Children who have been caught in conflict often experience this list on top of losing their homes and often loved ones.

Around the world, more than 30 million children have been forced from their homes due to conflict and violence. Right now, children are reeling after their entire lives have been uprooted.

Their stories may not show up in our daily news feeds, but each day, children who have been displaced are slipping through the cracks.

As the church, we can say to children caught in conflict, "You are not forgotten!"

Through this year's NCM Christmas Project, you can provide for the basic needs of children who have been uprooted. By providing children with necessities such as food, safe water, winter blankets, and education, you will ensure they have hope for a better tomorrow. By providing care and compassion in the name of Christ, you will remind them they are not forgotten.

Together, we are the church. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children.

Sunday School Discipleship International

"Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."   Matthew 28:19-20

As you are going,
THINK BIG: Every relationship, every interaction, all inclusive.

And make disciples,
START SMALL: You. Be one. Be a Christ-like disciple. Re-present Jesus.

Baptizing them, immersing them in Jesus,
GO DEEP: Pray. Empty yourself. Sacrifice.

Funding the Mission
For generations, Nazarenes have supported the World Evangelism Fund. Working together, we accomplish so much as the Body of Christ. Become a part of missions work and partner with the Church of the Nazarene to make Christlike disciples in the nations. In the Funding the Mission plan, the World Evangelism Fund is the vehicle through which we deliver the message of hope - and your church drives that mission.

Move From Hero To Hero Maker
Every year, thousands of the world's church planting leaders come to Orlando to learn what's new and what's actually working RIGHT NOW in church planting. This year you can expect to learn the 5 essential practices of moving from hero (standing on the platform) to hero making (building a platform for others)...

Multiplication Thinking
Are you thinking that you can effectively build God's ministry by yourself? Well stop. And think again. Stop investing your time and resources on a method that's limited to addition. Maximize God's ministry by placing an emphasis on multiplying and developing other leaders.

Permission Giving
Are you having a hard time discovering how you can maximize your discipleship efforts? Well here's the secret. The focus shouldn't be on your leadership. The focus should be on developing the leadership that God has put around you!

Disciple Multiplying
Are you committed to just creating disciples? Or are you committed to creating disciple multipliers? Commit to creating disciple multipliers. Your impact will reach far beyond your church or city.

Gift Activating
Are you only asking God to use your gifts? Or are you also asking God to equip those that you're discipling? Your ministry will only thrive when you stop trying to fill slots. Instead use your time and resources to develop people's gifts and commission leaders to be sent out for ministry.

Kingdom Building
We're all guilty of it. We get more caught up with "Who shows up to my thing?" instead of "Who have I sent out to do God's thing?". If we're serious about building God's ministry, then we have to change our definition of success. We need to stop measuring attendance and start measuring how many of our disciples are advancing the kingdom.
Wyoming - "Fill the Boot"
The Wyoming Fire Department has great women and men who volunteer to drop everything at the first sign of trouble without knowing who they will find when they arrive.  In a small community, it is not uncommon to come to the rescue of a friend or loved one.  This past year, they have rescued an infant while not being able to safe the mother in a house fire. They have come upon a scene where a 16 yr old pulled out in front of a semi. And the list goes on.

We wanted to give back to these brave men and women to let them know how much they are appreciated and prayed for.  An old fashion, carnival games and food stand event was planned where all the games, prizes and food would be offered for a donation to be placed in a firemen's boot.  At the end of the day, we would hand the boots back to the fire department in a way of a love offering.

Other churches were invited to join us in our parking lot to give back to the fire department.  News about our effort spread around the town and soon the businesses wanted to take part, then the  boy scouts, girl scouts, 4-H and every organization in the town wanted to be a part.  The "Fill the Boot" now had to relocate to the fair grounds across the street from the church.

A scavenger hunt was added to take place after the carnival.  The fire department was overwhelmed that the whole community would put forth such effort to say thank you.
At the end of the day, over $5,000 in a love offering was given to the department and the whole community came together with hopes of future events to honor those who give so much.

Praising God for the open hearts and love His people have for one another and grateful to be a part of this community.

"M-TEENS CHURCH got started Wednesday, November16. It was a blessing for us to have our friends "Submerge" from Pekin First Church of the Nazarene and our friends from Rock Is land First Church of the Nazarene sharing and giving our teens a head start on this wonderful experience of honoring God and Loving Jesus thru what we call Worship. We pray that everyone who came took treasure home from the WORD OF GOD!!" -Laura

Grace Community
Grace Community welcomes Bob & Pam Clardie where he will be serving as interim pastor.

Bob stepped down as Pastor of Lost Lake Community Church last July. He and his wife Pam planted the church in 1998 and served there for 18 years. God did some great things during that time including guiding them through two building programs. They leave the church debt free and healthy and are thankful for that. More than any financial or material blessings they are both thankful for the privilege of being used by God during that time. They saw countless people saved and many new Nazarenes join the church.

Although Bob has retired as a Pastor he has a strong desire to continue to be used of the Lord. Before accepting the task of planting Lost Lake, he and Pam had been active in Evangelism work. He is looking forward to letting God use him wherever He chooses.
