For those who haven't heard, our beloved pastor,  Dr. George W. Mitchell III, passed away on Tuesday evening. Funeral services will be held this Sunday at Mars Hill. Dr. Mitchell will lie in state at 1:00pm at MHCC followed by a 2:00pm funeral service officiated by Pastor Tom. Burial will be at Midway Presbyterian Church Cemetery followed by a reception in the Mars Hill Fellowship Hall. Click HERE for the full obituary.

In preparation for the funeral service, Mayes Ward Dobbins will arrive at MHCC at 12:30pm. We have a couple requests for our members who plan to attend the 11:00am service.

• If you are physically able, we ask that you park towards the back and lower parking lot areas in order to provide more room in the front parking lot for Mayes Ward Dobbins.

• While we love and long for people to stay and enjoy fellowship after our Sunday services, for those attending the 2nd service (11:00am only) we request that our church family be expeditious in picking up any young children and continuing the "exit" process in order to accommodate those arriving for the 1:00pm portion of the service.

• Some may choose to remain at MHCC for the funeral services. If you plan to attend the procession to Midway Presbyterian Church Cemetery following the 2:00pm service, you will be able to receive a processional tag from the attendants of Mayes Ward Dobbins.
