TUESDAY NEWS
December 12, 2017
Chapel is at Immanuel tomorrow.
Greetings!

Our second quarter chapel offerings are being designated to Lutheran Heritage Foundation’s mission of “Telling the Next Generation: Children’s Bibles for Southeast Asia” . This mission is to translate and publish the good Lutheran books (such as A Child’s Garden of Bible Stories and Luther’s Small Catechism) that Lutheran school teachers and their students have relied on for generations. They will be distributed to families throughout Vietnam, Philippines, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore, and East Timor. Every $2 will provide a Catechism or a Bible Story Book. So far we have raised enough to provide 183 books! Our goal is to provide at least 300 books to the children of Southeast Asia.
Music Reminders for the Christmas Program

Costumes --- All children in K-8 will be wearing costumes. (Newsroom people have their own "costume.") The teachers have shared with the classes what they are to wear under the costumes. If you have any questions - please let Mrs. Fortlage know.

We are still looking for a "bar-type" portable table for the program, and some adult help with painting scenery after school. If you are interested in helping, please contact Mrs. Kathy Fortlage.

Inclement Weather

In case of severe weather, please tune in to TMJ4, FOX6, WISN12, or visit their corresponding websites for closing information. If the Watertown School district closes, Lebanon Lutheran School along with the Preschool and ECC Daycare will be closed for the entire day. If your child is scheduled for daycare on a day that the daycare will not open due to inclement weather, credit will be given.

If the Watertown School District calls for a 2 hour delay, the 3 year old preschool and 4 year old preschool program will be cancelled but the Daycare will still open at 6am.

A Special "Thank You" from Athletic Director Jeff Lehman

Great news!! We were able to raise over $600 for the Joel Kamrath Family last Friday night!! I was able to present the monies to Joel Monday afternoon and it made him break down and cry. I would just like to send a huge thank you to ALL of our parents and guest who attended last Friday night’s game and so graciously donated some money to this cause!! Basketball is much more than winning and losing, it is about doing good for those in need!!
School Christmas Musical!

The children of Lebanon Lutheran School will be presenting a Christmas musical, “Breaking News – Baby Born in Bethlehem!” on Thursday, December 21 at 10:00 am and 6:30 pm in the Immanuel gym . All are welcome!

Join the reporters from Caesar Network News (CNN!) as they try to find the good news in all the chaos of the census. The reporters travel to Bethlehem in search of good news and battle each other for the best story and the top reporter position. The reporters stumble across a stubborn donkey, some shepherds and sheep with stage fright, and some camels and wise men who aren’t sure what they are searching for. Come see which reporter wins the battle and finds the good news!
