A Note From Pastor Linda
"This is my Son, the beloved. Listen to him!" ~God (Mark 9)
Dear Friends, Followers of Jesus!
Do you think there is a difference between hearing and listening? Someone rightly said,
"Hearing is through ears, but listening is through the mind."
The two activities, hearing and listening, while they both involve the use of ears, they are very different.
- Hearing is nothing but a sense that helps you receive sound waves and noise by ears. It is the power of perceiving sound. If you are not hearing impaired, hearing simply happens.
Who are you listening to- and what are you learning? On Transfiguration Sunday (this Sunday!) a voice from heaven speaks these words: "This is my Son, the beloved. Listen to him!" (Mark 9)
~Pastor Linda
PS- On Wednesday at 6:30pm Adult Education connect360 welcomes the St. Andrew's Family Shelter- with information about the NEW homeless shelter project in Hugo.

We Need Gift Cards!
By Thursday, February 1, 2018
Instead of items for the Silent Auction this year, we are asking for gift card donations so we can make silent auction prize baskets!
This would be a tax deductable donation and would help us fund our worship fund! We will accept gift card or cash donations of any kind, but we prefer Amazon, Target, Walmart, Michaels, Visa, Cub or store gift cards.
If you have any questions, please contact Kelsey Grachek in the front office.

Thank You!
Thank you for your food donations to Breaking Free, a women's shelter for Human Trafficking in St. Paul. There was a tremendous response to a "Call to Action" from our congregation and community members. Six volunteers from Breaking Free, plus Chuck and Dee Dee Anderson made several trips from their car to the shelter to deliver all of the food. The staff members and volunteers were filled with joy and overwhelmed with the food. Thank you, Hosanna!
