The Entertainment Industry - Lawrence Township Has Talent!

Jeffrey Bell, Lawrence Central Class of 1977,  is a writer and producer best known for his work on television. After graduating from LC,  Jeffrey studied design and photography at the University of Cincinnati, then moved to California. In 2017,  Jeffrey was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for his work on an episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. He has also been nominated for a Hugo Award and a Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Award. Brian PiotrowiczLawrence North Class of 1988 was co-producer of the Oprah Winfrey Show and continued to work with Oprah Winfrey on Oprah's Next Chapter. In 2016, Brian was the co-executive producer of Oprah Winfrey's Special, First Lady Michelle Obama's Farewell to the White House. Brian graduated from Syracuse University in 1992 with a degree in Radio, TV, and Film. Enjoy a video and learn how Brian's connections helped him get the opportunity to work with Oprah. 

Hilary Ward,  Lawrence Central Class of 1995, 
has guest starred on a variety of television shows, including Sharp Objects, NCIS, Modern Family, and  Criminal Minds. As a student at LC, Hilary was a member of student council, the Central Sound show choir, and she acted in plays. She earned a Master of Fine Arts at the University of California-San Diego in 2007. Matthew Markoff, Lawrence Central Class of 2000,  started his career as a rapper in Indianapolis and now oversees the multi-platform music company, Holy Toledo Productions, in Marina Del Ray, CA. Known as M-Eighty when he raps, Matthew makes the most of his connections by combining new and established talent. To introduce a new soundtrack, Markoff will be buying lunch for 100 people at Yats on College Avenue in Indianapolis on December 16, 2017. Click  here  to learn more.   

Will Adams, Lawrence Central Class of 2006,  is a professional dancer and choreographer and is known around the  industry as Willdabeast Adams. After graduating from LC, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career. In addition to dancing, Will's resume includes choreographing Nike commercials and appearing as a guest choreographer on  So You Think You Can Dance. Will has been known to pop in at LC on visits to Indiana and meet with a class.

The Lawrence Township Schools have a long-standing history of excellence not only in the classroom, but on the athletic field as well. Tevin Studdard, multi-media collaborator with the MIC network, has captured the excitement and memories. Enjoy this video titled, "Lawrence Legends". 
Silent Auction Donor Spreads Cheer
Congratulations, Justin!
You may recognize the essence of this Riley  Children's Hospital painting. It was created by Justin Patten, former Lawrence Township educator and frequent donor to the LTSF Celebration's Silent Auction. Patten created the artwork  used for this year's custom "r ed wagon" holiday ornament for the Riley Children's Foundation.  The painting is on display at Riley's corporate downtown office.

700 Lawrence North Wins!

Lawrence North Head Coach, Jack Keefer, celebrated his 700th victory with his team after the game against Park Tudor on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. Coach  Keefer was honored with a piece of the old bleachers at Lawrence North with the words "Coach Keefer 700 Wildcat Wins" inscribed in the wood. Read more here.

A special thank you to the Student Foundation (LTSSF) who held events at both high schools, Delaney's on Fox Road for the Shop to Donate, and Culver's, Chile Verde on Shadeland, Panera in the Fort, and Sundae's for participating in Dine to Donate. What a great day, with the entire community supporting our kids!
