Dear Parents,

Tomorrow , December 8th we celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception where the  Blessed  Mother Mary was from the first moment of her conception by the grace of God conceived free from all original sin. It is because of this that Mary had the grace to say "yes" to the Incarnation. Through this act of will, Mary became the  vessel  for Jesus. In 1858, Mother Mary appeared to Bernadette Soubirous in Lourdes, France. There she identified herself to Bernadette as the Immaculate Conception.

The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception is a time to celebrate the great joy of God's gift to humanity in Mary, and to recognize the truth that each and every human being has been created by God to fulfill a particular mission. As we move closer to Christmas it is important to help the students understand the connection between the Immaculate
Conception, Incarnation, and the Nativity
of our Lord.

Quote from Pope Francis:

"Jesus gives meaning to my life here on earth and hope for the life to come."

Faithfully Yours,

Miss Giaquinto

We welcome Mr. Meyer to our SCSS faculty.
