The pace at the General Assembly began to pick up as the end of the week approached. Last week 126 House bills were filed as were 143 Senate bills. Not all of the new business-related bills are included in this report, but you will see them in upcoming editions of UTD. We have received requests to include the sponsors' names on the bills that have been filed. We are adding that information for your use.

Restaurant Challenge & Wine & Beer Tasting
Join us for our First Annual Restaurant Challenge & Wine & Beer Tasting to be held on
Friday March 23, 2018
from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at St. Andrew's School, Barrington, RI.
This event will include tastings from local restaurants. Attendees will be given a voting sheet and asked to choose their favorites in specified categories. The winners, announced that evening, will be awarded ribbons and the Best in Show will go home with a trophy! Wine and beer will be served for your tasting from local wineries and brew masters.
Included will be a silent auction with a wide range of items for you bidding pleasure.

eople's Credit Union Accepting Applications for
Cooperative Credit Union Association, 2018 College Scholarship Program
People's Credit Union is accepting applications for the Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA), 2018 College Scholarship Program. Eight $500 scholarships will be awarded to full-time students currently enrolled in or accepted to a college, university, community college or trade school undergraduate program for the 2018 school year. Students who are members of People's Credit Union or parent(s)/guardian(s) that are members are eligible to apply. Submissions must be received by Tuesday, April 3rd.
The scholarship application is available online at peoplescu.com or at any of People's six branch locations located in Middletown, Newport, Portsmouth, Bristol, North Kingstown and Wakefield.
