Due to construction in the area, the M11 bus stop at Columbus Avenue between 60th and 61st Streets has been temporarily relocated to 9th Avenue and 59th Street, just one block south. This relocation will be in effect until January 12, 2018 when construction is completed. Alternatively, passengers can catch the M11 at the previous stop, Columbus Avenue and 63rd Street. Do you operate a business that employs delivery cyclists? Join Council Member Helen Rosenthal and the Department of Transportation (DOT) for a Delivery Cyclist Forum on Thursday, December 21 at 3:00pm at Rutgers Presbyterian Church, at 236 West 73rd Street. DOT officials will review commercial bicyclist rules and regulations to help businesses comply with the law and keep cyclists and pedestrians safe. Free bike lights will be distributed for commercial cyclists.  

Last week the New York City Council unanimously passed a bill which will allow businesses that take in less than $5 million and pay less than $500,000 in rent a year to receive Commercial Rent Tax exemptions. It also offers "sliding scale" tax exemptions to shops taking in $5 million to $10 million or paying $500,000 to $550,000 in rent each year. Click here to read more at NYC.gov.
