January music classes were filled with musical exploration! We read the book
Olivia Forms a Band by Ian Falconer and then banged, clanged and shook various instruments to make musical sounds of our own! The children love playing the drums, keyboards, maracas, triangles and hand bells. Take a look around your house, like Olivia the Pig did, and explore how you can make music with regular household items! You'll be surprised what your children will come up with!

As we continue to enjoy winter, we will also add Valentine's Day into the mix this month. Please see the note below and your classroom newsletters regarding plans for Valentine's Day activities.
Also, please remember that your Acceptance Forms for the 2018-19 school year are due
Friday, February 2nd with your $130 non-refundable registration fee
to hold your child's spot.

Valentine's Day is a bright spot in the mid-winter chill of February. It's a time when we remember to say "I love you" again and again! As you reflect on love this Valentine's Day, think about the unconditional love you feel for your children. Our love for our children is boundless and fierce. (We read somewhere that parents are "irrational lovers".) Now pause to remember the Creator who loves YOU with that same fierce passion. Feel that love and pass it on! Spread a little like seeds everywhere you go!
Blessings,
Julie and Ann-Marie

CAR LINE REMINDERS: Please do not pull out of car line until the cars in front of you have moved. It is very dangerous to pull around the car in front of you. We have had some near accidents because of this. We try to move car line along as quickly as we safely can. Also, only the first 6 cars are pull in front of the church. You need to be in line by 11:45 or 3:45. As the weather gets colder the Director's will need be waiting outside so you will be considered late. We appreciate your patience and help making car line safe.
FOOD REMINDERS: Please be sure that students and/or siblings do not come in to school with open food. Due to our allergy food policy, we ask that any snacks eaten on the way to school be left in the car.
Thank you! |
