               HAYSHIRE PROUD POINTS AROUND SCHOOL

WE LOVE MATH AT HAYSHIRE!
Math is learned in all kinds of ways at Hayshire. Sometimes we are in whole group. Sometimes we are in a small group with the teacher and learn skills that are targeted for our small group level. Sometimes we play math games with partners. Sometimes we use hands-on manipulatives to understand skills. Sometimes we use technology to practice individual needs. Sometimes we work with parent volunteers and assistants to refine skills. Sometimes we participate in projects that require real life math skills.
In November, first graders invited families to school for an evening program called Magnificent Math Skills! First graders showed families how to play fun math games to improve math skills at home! First graders showed off their skills as they sang math songs on stage!
