A Reading of Mark's Gospel Tonight @ 6:30-8:30 p.m.
A moving evening with Mark.
Join us as we begin the holy season of Advent by gathering to read the Gospel of Mark in one evening. Why? Because the church's new year begins on the first Sunday of Advent and focuses on this gospel, the very first one recorded.
So this year give yourself a gift! Leave the shopping frenzy behind and gather at the church for a chili supper and an incredible evening like no other. We hope you're joining us.

Lessons & Carols Sunday, December 10 at 4:00 p.m.
Don't miss this lovely evening
We will celebrate the Advent season with the Festival of Lessons and Carols, a service of Christian worship celebrating the birth of Jesus inaugurating the Advent/Christmastide season.
The story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus are told in nine short Bible readings from Genesis, the prophetic books and the Gospels, interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols, hymns and choir music in a lovely service reminiscent of the annual King's College, Cambridge England service of Lessons and Carols. A reception follows with wassail and English shortbread. Please plan to join us and bring a friend.

The Knitting Ministry invites anyone interested in knitting or crocheting to join this amazing group of dedicated folks. Planning Our Future Together, A Diocesan Survey Search for our Bishop
As we search for the fifth bishop of our diocese, the Diocese seeks your input. Go online by clicking on the link below and tell them about your experiences in and priorities for our diocese. The information gained from this assessment will be valuable in helping to build a profile of our diocese. Each adult (16+) member of the household is asked to complete the survey for her/himself, even if there is only one email address for all members of the family. Please do not discuss the survey or your answers with others as this may influence their answers. They want to know what YOU are thinking. Please set aside 25 to 30 minutes to complete the online survey, available here:
ww.surveymonkey.com/r/DioceseSanDiego
. It is completely anonymous; please be candid. If you have any questions, please contact the nominating committee via email:
[email protected]
or mail: The Nominating Committee, 2083 Sunset Cliffs Blvd., San Diego, CA 92107.
