This Sunday's Message: Hope of Relationship
Genesis 1:26-31
The Road Less Traveled
It's that time of year again. For me it used to be when I started sweating Christmas ideas for my wife, who proves to be incredibly hard to buy for. It was the time that we shopped for the kids, tried to come up with perfect gift idea for my Dad - who is impossible to buy for...

Commitment Card Update
We had an incredible response on Commitment Sunday.  106 Aledo UMC families brought Commitment Cards to the altar, representing the reaffirmation of their vows to be a part of the work of the church through their prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness.  We are well on our way to meeting our goal of every family that calls Aledo UMC home to be a part of that commitment.  If you have not yet returned your Commitment Card, it is not too late.  You can drop it in the offering plate on Sunday, bring it to the altar at the end of the service, bring it by the office or drop it in the mail.  Commitment Cards are available in the Narthex Kiosk and in the Sanctuary pews.
Thank you for your faithfulness!

Poinsettia Sales
Music Ministries' annual poinsettia sale ends Sunday. Let's fill the sanctuary with beautiful flowers for Advent! Poinsettias may be ordered at the Connection Center for $15. Plants will be displayed in the sanctuary through Christmas Eve, and those who purchase plants may take them home after the Christmas Eve services.

On the Go Devo

Sometimes life keeps you away from church on Sunday, but that doesn't mean you have to miss out.  Our weekly ON THE GO DEVO keeps you talking about what your church family is talking about, even if you can't be here.  You can subscribe to have the DEVO delivered to your mobile device each week by texting ONTHEGO to 68398.

Are you taking advantage of electronic giving?
When we join the church, we pledge to support the life and ministry of the church with our financial gifts. That can get complicated on those weeks when we can't be here as the offering plate comes around. But through electronic giving, you remain faithful to your membership vows, even on those weeks when life takes you elsewhere. It's easy. It's safe. And it benefits both you and your church family. Setting it up is easy and only takes a few minutes. Contact Shari Birchell at sharibirchell@aledoumc.org to set up an automatic transfer from your checking account. Or go to aledoumc.org/give to use your credit or debit card.
