City of Durango adopts 2015 ICodes effective  January 1, 2018
2015 IECC effective date - July 1, 2018

Members of the Home Builders Association of Southwest Colorado collaborated and presented at the City Council meeting last night, to encourage the City of Durango to stay on the 2009 Energy Code and be consistent with the County.  Council members Sweetie Marbury and Chris Bettin supported the Home Builders Association and affordable housing 
but lost to votes by Dean Brookie, Dick White, Melissa Youssef.  Read more here...

Revised La Plata County Land Use Code 

The La Plata County Planning Department presented the draft first module of the revised Land Use Code for review and suggestions for improvement. 

There will be numerous mechanisms for providing suggestions for improvement through Jan. 12, 2018, beginning with a dedicated project email: [email protected]
Please be sure to include the specific section and subsection of the code that your suggestion references. The second method provided for feedback on Module 1 is available online from now until January 12, 2018. Finally, you can attend any of the stakeholder sessions scheduled for December.  If you have any questions, please contact Megan Graham using the information in the section above.
