Do you know that TCRAS has a designated Amazon Smile link?  We receive 0.5% on every purchase.  Please designate TCRAS as your charity via this link.  Our furry friends would do it but they don't have fingers...or access to our computers!!

DECEMBER VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH
LIZ R.

Liz, Cuper & Olive

Where are you from?
Illinois, until 6 months ago. I retired and moved to Guffey.

*What volunteer positions do you help with at TCRAS?
I volunteer to foster cats and dogs.

*What do/did you do for a job/career?
I worked at at gas utility in Illinois for 33 years.

*Do you have a family?  Tell us about them.
I have family in Illinois and Alabama. I live with my best friend and we would like to open a rescue organization of our own sometime in the future.

*What pets do you have?
I have 2 dogs. Cuper, a husky/lab mix and Olive a min pin. They are both enjoying the move to Colorado!

*What do you like to do for fun?
Golf, kayak and bird watching.

THANK YOU LIZ for volunteering to foster our most fragile guests..momma's and their litters.  This is one of the most important programs we have at TCRAS as it allows our neonates to mature in a healthy environment.  We know that it takes a lot of work to foster litters and we thank you for your commitment of time and love!!

Volunteer of the Month Pet Pick

Bubba came to us as a transfer. He was abandoned at a vacant textile mill in Alabama and we are blessed to have connected with a group who rescues these dogs who were left to fend for themselves (216 to date). We can only imagine what his early life was and because he most likely had limited human contact, he is working on his manners. He tends to bond very quickly with people and wants to be the center of attention. He will need a home that is willing to commit to continue his training and give him the love and safety he so richly deserves.  Bubba would be a good candidate for an experienced dog handler that would be willing to foster or adopt him. Please help spread the word to find this sweet boy a forever home or a foster.

TCRAS is thrilled to be chosen as one of the home town charities for the Subaru Share the Love Campaign. Heuberger will donate $250 to TCRAS for every new vehicle sold in December! Please designate TCRAS if you are in the market for a new Subaru!!
