HART CEO ANDREW ROBBINS ADDRESSES THE KAPOLEI CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The Executive Director of the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation, Andrew Robbins, was an honored guest of the Kapolei Chamber of Commerce during its annual Holiday Luncheon at the University of Hawaii-West Oahu.

Robbins provided updates on the Rail Transit Project including, progress reports on the nine west-end stations currently under construction between Aloha Stadium and the Kroc Center in Kapolei.  He also shared details regarding his initiatives to keep the overall project on its current schedule.  Robbins also spoke about his commitment to mitigate project costs by employing a rigorous risk management program and by examining potential public/private partnerships.

The Kapolei Chamber of Commerce is a relatively young organization but is already more than 300 members strong. The Chamber's quick expansion is indicative of the steady economic growth currently underway in Kapolei.  West Oahu business owners and residents alike eagerly anticipate the addition of the Honolulu Rail Transit Project to their community and look forward to the opening of interim service between Kapolei and Aloha Stadium in 2020.

THE HART TEAM SUPPORTS THE RECYCLING &  HOLIDAY FAIR AT KAPOLEI H.S.!

The HART Team helped Kapolei High School kick-off the holidays recently by proudly participating in the school ' s Recycling and Holiday Fair.
Residents were encouraged to redeem household recyclable materials as they entered the campus parking lot before taking
part in the school ' s Holiday Fair.  The event drew several small businesses to ply their wares.   HART is proud to support events like the Holiday Fair as it continues to provide people with information on the Rail Transit Project that will provide reliable, safe, and time-effective transportation options for Oahu residents.

SAFETY REMINDERS  THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

In our last newsletter, we offered safety tips to consider while shopping.  But what happens when you bring all of your purchases home?  Thieves are well aware that during the holidays, many of us bring home a bunch of items intended to be given as gifts.  That makes many homes a potential target.  The Honolulu Police Department has some tips to make your home less of a target for criminals.
  • Always lock your doors and windows
  • Never run electrical cords for outdoor lights through windows or doors
  • Never leave gifts/valuables where they can be seen through a window or door
  • When expecting a delivery, try to ensure someone can pick it up for you
  • Don't discard gift boxes on your curb so thieves can see what you received
  • Keep your bushes, hedges, and trees trimmed - especially around windows

Don't make your home an easy target!
