Dear School Families,

"At this Christmas when Christ comes, will He find a warm heart? Mark the season of Advent by loving and serving others with God's own love and concern."
Mother Teresa , Love: A Fruit Always in Season

How will you mark this Advent season? Mother Teresa calls upon us to be of service to others with a love like that of God's love for us. We know that God loves each of us unconditionally and with true forgiveness.   Our students in grades 3rd-8th will be preparing for reconciliation.  We encourage you to talk to your children about the healing sacrament of reconciliation and guide them with their examination of conscience.   Our service project this month is Adopt-A-Family with Holy Rosary Church. Each grade has graciously adopted a family and will share their love with others.

I pray that you use the coming days ahead to warm your hearts with love and forgiveness for others as we prepare for the coming of Christ into our world.

We invite you to join us for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception mass hosted by our sweet first graders.  Mass is at 10:00 a.m.

In Partnership,

Mrs. Fely Fajardo
Interim Principal

During the Advent season we invite you to journey to peace.
Seeking peace, making peace, praying for peace.
There are several ways to begin seeking such peace.
One way, is to visit our beautiful church during the week.
Come to pray, come to read, come to sit with Christ during this wonderful time of year.
Come to find peace.
Beginning December 5, 2017 through December 21, 2017.
Every Tuesday and Thursday from 12pm to 2pm.
For more information, please call the rectory office

Classroom News
Congratulations to our First through Sixth Grade Students who shared the Good News of Christmas.  Their spirit came through in song and praise for the true meaning of Christmas.

1st graders have been sharing some of their family holiday traditions - ways they decorate, favorite holiday book, a fun thing they do, and favorite holiday treat. They wrote about them and have been sharing them in class.

2nd graders are preparing for their first reconciliation in January.  They shared a buddy activity with the 7th graders on the Legend of the Candy Cane and how it communicates the story of the birth and life of Jesus and His love for us.

3rd grade choir members are excited about singing  Christmas carols at the Rivertown Housing Center.

6th graders are finishing up their unit on mineral and rock formations.  They are reviewing the liturgical year/calendar and writing daily Advent reflections.

8th graders are working on their science fair projects and learning about Darwin's evidence of evolution.   In religion, the students are reflecting each morning during this first week of Advent. In ELA they have been working on the step up to writing process and have used these steps to write an essay about veterans.
8th Grade enjoy the San Francisco sites and the ACT Christmas Carol play!
