The Children's Trust Announces
Grant Opportunity: Youth Development Services (Grades K-12)
The Children’s Trust will release a competitive solicitation for a new five-year funding cycle for Youth Development Services in the next few days! Funding for youth development services will be available for:

  • Kindergarten through fifth grade – after-school and summer camp programs (YAS)
  • Sixth through 12th grade – youth enrichment and supports for after-school and summer camp services (YEN)

Application trainings will be available for both currently funded YAS and YEN providers, as well as those NEW to this initiative or not currently funded by The Trust; please visit our community calendar and click "Provider Activities" to register for the appropriate session. You must confirm that your login is current before registering, as any website user accounts created prior to August 15, 2017, are no longer valid. If you have an existing trustcentral.org user account (email address and password), you may use it to log into thechildrenstrust.org. Click here if you need to reset your password. We also suggest that you visit the Grants section of our site for important information about applicant eligibility, general programmatic funding requirements, legal requirements and much more. Please note that in lieu of a bidders' conference, a bidders' video will be made available upon release of this RFP.
Trust Central Update
The Amendments Module and Invoice Validation feature are now available in Trust Central! Please note that these and our other available self-service videos provide the quickest answers to the most common Trust Central issues experienced by providers. As always, your contract manager is available to assist you with this new process. Should you require additional assistance from our help desk, kindly note it is accessible via email only at trustcentral@thechildrenstrust.org ; we'll make every effort to respond to your request within two business days. However, please keep in mind that an increased number of inquiries may occur as a result of system transitions, and as key reporting due dates approach.
Attention Quality Counts Programs: Share Your Thoughts
As part of the ongoing implementation evaluation of Quality Counts, you will receive an online survey directly from the external evaluators at University of Miami within the next few days. This survey will ask about your use of and engagement with the various Quality Counts supports, as well as your opinion of their value and your perception of their effectiveness. The resulting information will be used to inform continuous improvement of Quality Counts. We ask that you please respond to the survey quickly, and answer all questions completely and candidly. All your responses will remain confidential; only a summary of the results will be included in a report. We will provide each survey respondent with a $10 gift card to show our appreciation for submitting your survey response.
Grant Application Reviewers Needed - Volunteer Today!
The Children’s Trust is about to release competitive funding opportunities (Requests for Proposals/RFPs) for programs that support children and families in five-year funding cycles in the following program areas: youth development, parenting and early childhood development. An important component of the process is the engagement of local community members to work with Trust staff in reviewing applications submitted for funding, and we hope you will consider joining us in this critical endeavor. FREE Workshop: After-School Programs, STEM & Diversity
Code Explorers invites Trust-funded providers to attend a FREE workshop on how after-school programs can utilize STEM curricula to help make a positive impact on not just their participants, but also the future of the STEM workforce. Workshop led by a minority, female engineer with over 25 years of professional experience and over 10 years' experience in STEM education. First Aid Training: Youth Mental Health
Youth Mental Health First Aid Training (YMHFA) is an 8-hour course that teaches any adult how to help an adolescent who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The training helps you identify, understand and respond to the signs and symptoms of addictions and mental illness, and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations.   • Counselor - Part-Time To deliver group facilitation and care coordination. Responsibilities include acting as the primary participant advocate; keeping abreast of progress; coordinating all services delivered to participants through external referrals; conducting screenings and registrations; supporting assessments with appropriate tools to address comprehensive needs of participants; and collaborating with other community providers to ensure participants receive coordinated services.

  • Community Action Team (CAT) Therapist To be responsible for implementing therapeutic intervention for children/adolescents/young adults that meet program enrollment criteria.   • Functional Family Therapy (FFT) Program Supervisor To be responsible for providing clinical supervision and documentation review, to ensure that provided services are family-centered, focused on increasing youth’s ability to successfully cope with life challenges, and build resiliency using fidelity to the Functional Family Therapy (FFT) model. Additional responsibilities include making sure services are provided in a timely manner, are of high quality and consistent with eligibility criteria; in accordance with the contract/funder, COA standards, and agency policies and procedures; and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Stop Now and Plan (SNAP) Supervisor To be responsible for providing clinical supervision and documentation review to ensure that services provided by the SNAP therapists and case managers are delivered in a timely manner, are of high quality, and are consistent with eligibility criteria using fidelity to the Stop Now And Plan (SNAP) model.

Available Positions at Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services *

  • Director of Behavioral Services (Miami-Homestead) To provide supervision to a community-based clinical program staff as it relates to implementing all aspects of client case management (e.g., intake process, crisis counseling, individual counseling, family counseling, groups, comprehensive psychosocial assessments, service planning, etc.). Position directly responsible for agency CINS/FINS as well as any other related community-based services. Master's degree in human services, education, social work or related degree, or professional licensure, required.
  • Quality Improvement and Training Manager (Miami) To provide administrative and technical assistance to all staff to ensure consistency of continuous quality improvement processes across all program areas; works closely with HR director to maintain required training program in accordance with policy. Responsible for assisting with internal grant writing processes and administration, including committee organization and participation. Minimum bachelor’s degree in a health and human services, public service, administration or applicable business area of study; electronic medical records (EMR) experience preferred.
  • Youth Activity/Recreation Worker Must be able to lead and engage youth in daily activities. Requires strong experience with at-risk teens and clean driving record (valid driver's license with auto insurance), as well as ability to pass background/drug screenings and work a flexible schedule (evenings, overnight, weekends).
