Zoo Lights Traffic Improvements
Holiday Happenings
Dear Neighbor,

Zoolights is more popular than ever, especially during our unseasonably warm weather these last weeks.    Major tie-ups have occurred because the Zoo has been unable to clear its parking lot allowing new patrons to enter.  These traffic flow problems prompted our office to ask the Office of Emergency Management and Communication (OEMC) to place traffic aides on the scene.  OEMC personnel will direct traffic without waiting for traffic light signals at the Zoo parking lot exit allowing cars to enter Lake Shore Drive.

There will still be occasional delays in approaching Lake Shore Drive from LaSalle Drive, but hopefully, gridlock around the Zoo will be substantially reduced as cars attempt to reach the parking lot.

Zoolights resume this Friday, December 8th and run through December 23rd, continuing again from December 26th to January 7, 2018.  Please recommend to your guests to visit on weeknights, if possible, when the Zoo is less crowded.

Oz Park Tree Lighting - A Shining Success

Hundreds came out to witness the first-ever holiday tree lighting in Oz Park.  Neighbors were enchanted by the caroling of the Lincoln Park High School Chamber Singers, and a special visit from Santa by the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce.

A very special thanks to the Lincoln Central Association, who brought you this new holiday tradition.

See you in the neighborhood during this wonderful season.
