Two Devotional Masses - First Fridays and First Saturdays @ 8:30 a.m.
Come join us not only for the First Friday Devotion Mass; we have now added the First Saturday Devotion Mass every month at 8:30 a.m.
Jesus, from His Cross, gave us His mother to be our spiritual mother.  To know and love our Blessed Mother is to know and love Jesus.  Mary draws us closer to her Son, our Lord and Savior.
Each month, let us gather as a family and offer ourselves to God through these two Devotional Masses:
-           The First Friday Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
-           The First Saturday Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Please go to this link for more information on the First Fridays and First Saturdays Devotions.

Elijah Cup Prayers for Vocations
Our parish has a beautiful ministry dedicated in prayerful support of vocations - The Elijah Cup Ministry.
The Elijah Cup is a consecrated chalice taken home for one week, rotated at each Mass.  There is also the monthly chalice given at every First Friday Devotion Mass.  Each carrying case comes with a chalice, instructions, a selection of prayers, Rosary, book, and spiritual journal to share the experiences felt while praying for those called to religious life.
A receiving family or individual displays the chalice in a prominent place at home and prays for an increase of men and women called to religious vocations:  priests, deacons, seminarians, sisters or nuns.  Knowing that you are praying for them will lift their called hearts ready to serve or to continue as our spiritual leaders bringing us closer to God.
We always need families and individuals to pray for vocations.   What a blessing ...so let this chalice journey to your home and t hank you for the prayerful consideration!
Please look for the sign-up sheet in the narthex.  For more information, please contact:

A New Bible Study is Beginning!
Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom is an incredible journey of the Church's first evangelists as Christ's disciples teaching, preaching, healing and restoring outcasts in the same way that Jesus did on earth. This study also gives an excellent historic framework for understanding the rest of the New Testament. Whether this study is your first or you're a veteran Bible study, you'll enjoy the insights given from this study and other participants. The cost for this 20-week study materials is only $30 and you'll also need a Bible.
Join us Friday evenings from 6pm - 8pm in St. Bartholomew!

Parish Offices Closed on December 13
Please note that our Parish offices will be closed all day on Wednesday, December 13 as our parish staff will be attending an Advent Day of Reflection at Ignatius House Jesuit Retreat Center in Atlanta. We ask that you keep our staff in your prayers as we attend a day of prayer and prepare a Way for the Lord in the season of Advent.

UPDATE
As the year is coming to a close, so is the 2017 Archbishop's Annual Appeal. Through your generous donations, St. Francis has the opportunity to receive just over $40,000. I am grateful to those that have made donations thus far. However, I am asking for those who still have outstanding pledges to please fulfill them. If you have not donated but would like to donate, please do so. With these donations, we will be able to support many of our ministries and we will be able to bring more programs to help enrich our parish.
