Serving Their Country at the Wentworth House

In honor of American veterans, past and present, the Colonel Paul Wentworth House will host Serving Their Country, a day-long living history tribute to American soldiers on Veterans Day, Saturday, November 11. Visit the Wentworth House for a day of displays and living-history demonstrations illustrating the lives and stories of America's citizen-soldiers from the colonial era through modern times. Historical reenactors with carefully researched and period-accurate uniforms and equipment will portray soldiers from the colonial and Revolutionary eras, the Civil War, World War I and World War II. The event will run from 10 am to 4 pm at the Wentworth House on Water Street in Rollinsford. Admission is $5 for the general public; free for veterans and active duty personnel, children, and ARCH members.

The doctors also will discuss the eligibility requirements for WDH's annual Low Dose CT Scan Lung Cancer Screening Program for the early detection of lung cancer. CPR and Aromatherapy Classes at Dover Adult Learning Center
Learn a lifesaving skill in our "CPR Certification" class, which covers adult, child and infant CPR, how to use an AED, and what to do if someone is choking. Participants who successfully complete the course will earn their Heartsaver CPR/AED certification card that is valid for 2 years. This course involves hands-on skills practice; participants will be sitting, standing and kneeling to learn the lifesaving skills of CPR. Thursday, November 16, 6:00-9:30pm ($50 tuition). And then take care of yourself in "Aromatherapy Scrubs & Soaks". Learn about the healing properties of essential oils. Make a sugar scrub that exfoliates, a salt scrub that cleanses, and an Epsom salt foot soak. Oils include those that energize, de-stress, help with chronic pain, and uplift mood.
