Christ the King
Sunday, November 26th

During his last days on earth, Jesus was arrested and put on trial. When asked if he was a king, Jesus answered, "You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world." Yes, Jesus was a king, but he wasn't interested in running around free and doing things his way. He was only interested in doing the will of his Father. He was born to be king, but his kingdom is not on this earth -- it is in heaven. He only came to earth to make a way for us to live with him in heaven.

Jesus "Just can't wait to be your king." He has invited you to enjoy eternal life in his heavenly kingdom. If you haven't already accepted his invitation, I hope you will crown him as your King today.

Dear Jesus, we invite you to rule our hearts as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Amen.

Students will be receiving a special treat to celebrate this special feast day to start us on a new year in the church.   The treat is JubeJubes!  Do you know why?  They are jewels in a crown.
The Season of Advent

As we enter into one of the most beautiful times in our liturgical year - Advent, we want to unite as a school community.

This week, we will be sending home a very special little gift to our CWA families. It is a tiny and lovely golden framed image of Our Lady of Fatima in a small blue box - and Father Michael has them all!  On the box you will find a novena to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

A novena is a nine-day prayer that usually ends on a Feast day in the Catholic Church. We invite all Clear Water families to unite in praying this novena together starting on November 30th and ending on December 8 - the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.

Sunday, December 3, is the first day of Advent, the start of a new liturgical year -  a brand new beginning. Let's pray our novena for the intentions of all our school families:  for the love of Christ to abound in all our homes; for goodness, forgiveness and mercy to reign in our hearts; and for the richness and true meaning of Christmas to guide our lives.
