Finally!!! This is a project that has been in the works for over a year.  I have found it difficult to maintain two websites in addition to all the social media sites and pages.  Last fall, my long-time friend, amazing photographer and web designer, Mark Wearsch and I did some brainstorming.  We decided we would try to combine the brittanyallyn.com and savortheflavors.tv websites.  

Doing that has been quite a task, but it proved to be in very capable hands.  Mark made sure the new site is mobile friendly and easy to navigate.  We also called on Bonnie Weske, my dear cousin who has done all my graphic art work for years, including the art designs for all my CD's.  Mark and Bonnie, your talent continues to blow me away!

All my music can be downloaded or purchased there, all my recipes can be printed or saved to your computer from there, cooking shows and tips videos can be viewed, my Wine and Opine blog can be accessed from the site and so much more.

I hope you will visit the site regularly and share it with others that may not receive the newsletters. 

These peppers are grown in the Hatch Valley of New Mexico, are the state vegetable, and are harvested in late summer and early fall.  The first year we were in AZ, Tim brought me a burlap sack full of them. My first thought was, "What am I going to do with all of these?".  Tim shared with me how to roast them and freeze them with skins on (they peel much easier after they are frozen).  I did as he instructed and managed to use them all before this year's crop was harvested - just in time to replenish. 

What is so special about Hatch chiles is that they are hot, but very flavorful as well.  By themselves, the "hot" ones will "light you up", but in recipes, they are incredible. Because Hatch chiles aren't in season right now, and you may not have a freezer full like I do, you can purchase the canned green chiles in the international isle of your grocery story and use them in this recipe.  But when the chiles are in season, be sure to get the fresh ones.

I've always considered myself to be mostly a country songwriter, so I was quite surprised to hear that Susan P., a jazz saxophonist and vocalist from Germany, would be recording "Come Out and Play", a song  I wrote with Leroy Anderson. Susan wrote a German translation of the lyric, "Flieg mit mir" for her Mosaik CD.
