Physician efficiency and patient empowerment focus of easy-to-use, interactive application
Specialty-specific health information technology leader,
Modernizing Medicine,
Inc. (based in Boca Raton), announced its
modmed Kiosk solution has won the
People's Choice Award at
The 6th UX Awards Summit in Palo Alto, Calif. The Overall People's Choice Award is chosen by the UX Awards community as the overall favorite, based on highest average vote by popular vote. A native iPad application, modmed Kiosk is designed for patients to perform self-service tasks, such as completing patient intake forms, at the doctor's office. Kiosk is designed to empower providers to engage patients early on and directly involve them in their own care, reduce potential errors from illegible documentation while populating the patient's electronic health record. Patients can tap through intuitive prompts on the iPad, allowing them to instantly access and update their personal, medical and pharmacy information rather than filling out cumbersome paperwork.
Nathan Cleaver, DO,
Cleaver Dermatology shared, "modmed Kiosk is simple to use and has saved us between 10 to 15 minutes per new patient. Our medical staff can now focus on the patients and not on the paperwork."
