Growing in Grace & Peace
Grace---St. John the Baptist---Volunteer Week B
Dear St. Isidore Families,

As Thanksgiving approaches, I am reminded of how much we have to be thankful for at St. Isidore School. We are grateful to our parent community for the love and support you show our staff and each other throughout the year. My goal this year is to shower you with thanks and remind us all how truly BLESSED we are. I am excited to announce that Miss Landry, our second grade teacher, is engaged. You can see the excitement on the faces of the students in the photo above as she shared the good news. We wish you a lifetime of happiness, Miss Landry.

Veterans Day-
Thank you to those who attended our annual Veterans Day ceremony. It was a celebration of those who have bravely served our nation and continue to do so. The sacrifice brave men and women make every day for our country is always a great reminder to all of us. It is important to remember freedom is not free. A big thank you to Mr. Novak for stepping up to speak to our students, also Assemblywoman Catherine Baker and to Andrew Coutches and Isabella Arechaederra for leading us in song and Ms. Crossen and our school band for the music. There will be no school on Friday, November 10 th in observance of the Veteran’s Day holiday.

Book Fair-
Our Annual Book Fair was a snowy success! Thank you to all who attended. Hopefully you and your little elves enjoyed it as much as I did. It’s a fact that our library team is truly the best in the business. A big thank you to Mrs. Lewis, Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Harrington, and their many volunteers! You made this an event the children will never forget!

Mind the Gap-
For those who have already donated to the Mind the Gap campaign, I sincerely thank you for your generosity! If you are yet to contribute, please consider doing so. Your contribution is 100% tax deductible. The campaign is critical to our school operating budget. If you have any questions, please contact me directly.

Enjoy your long weekend!

Maria Ward, Principal
St. Isidore School

Scrip
Scrip News......

This is such a wonderful time of the year with so much to enjoy, as well as so much to keep us busy and running from here to there. Wouldn’t it be nice to catch those Oscar worthy movies before they come and go? Treat yourself and your family to Cinemark and Regal cards and enjoy some pre-holiday entertainment.

Are you a Black Friday shopper? If so, what is stopping you from stocking up on everything? For your camper, we have REI. The sports enthusiast will love Dick’s Sporting Goods, Nike and Athleta (Gap). Your fun loving teen will be set with Barnes and Noble, Bath and Body Works, itunes, Macy’s, Marshall’s, and Target. For the always prepared cook and hostess, Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn/Williams-Sonoma, Home Goods (Marshalls) and Whole Foods are sure things. If you are a “DIY” guru or know someone who is, then a card from Alamo Ace Hardware or Home Depot would be the perfect fit for a home project. And for the on-line shopper, an Amazon card is always a guarantee smile maker.

This week's Scrip Order Form will not have Safeway available. Please continue to check back here for Safeway cards return to the Scrip Order form. We are so sorry for the inconvenience but we hope this will reduce further trouble at the registers for all our families.
