" No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends."

On behalf of our school community we would like to thank and salute all veterans and current members of the military for their service to our country. We are blessed to have you protecting us.

Our annual coat drive ends this Friday! We are collecting gently used or new winter outer-wear for the needy in our community. Collection boxes are in the school lobby. Thank you for your support.

Thank you to all who sent in their excess candy. We have gathered lots to send to the troops. These will be brought to a local drop-off center this week.

Last week's dress-down day brought in $527! What a wonderful outpouring of charity to our brothers and sisters in Puerto Rico. I am coordinating with Catholic Charities to have the money sent over there.

And thanks to all who attended our book fair to support our library. We had a great turn-out and the students really enjoyed browsing the shelves. A special "thank you" to Mrs. Healy for once again bringing this opportunity to celebrate literacy to our school.

Next week is "Discover Catholic Schools Week." Though a lower key week than January's Catholic School Week, we nonetheless use this time to celebrate who we are and what we do. We will be holding personal tours of the school by appointment to prospective families. Please help us to spread the word about our wonderful school.

Have a blessed week.

"Father, please turn your gaze to those men and women who in their military service have sacrificed time, comfort, strength, ambition, health and prosperity for the peace and safety of family and friends and others they've never even known. Please reward them a hundredfold for all their sacrifice and service. Bless them far beyond all their expectations. Reward them richly for all they have given."

Three Kings Gift Shop Donations

Please consider helping us continue a great St. Ambrose School tradition -The Three Kings Gift Shop!  The Three Kings Shop tradition is a Christmas shopping opportunity for our students.  We stock the store with re-gifted items donated by our community that we sell for $1 or $2.  All proceeds go directly to the school.  The kids love it because they get to do their own shopping for their families with the help of our volunteer elves.

We are gladly accepting donations to stock our store!   Please take a look through your closets, drawers, attics, and garages and see if you have items in VERY GOOD condition to donate to our shop.  We could use gifts for moms, dads, children, teenagers, and grandparents.  Things like jewelry, toys, games, stuffed animals, ties, gadgets, mugs, books, religious items, knick-knacks, and any item you might want to receive or give as a gift.  No large gifts as the children must be able to carry the items home. We also need gift wrapping supplies, gift boxes, jewelry boxes, tape, and sturdy shopping bags.  All donated items can be dropped off at the school office before December 8th.  We appreciate your support!  For questions please contact Maryellen DeWolfe at   [email protected] .

Shout Outs!
Thank you to the 2017 Fall Tennis Players. Thank you to the coaches and parents for your time and travel. Great Job!!

Thank you to the Cross-Country Runners on Sunday!! Everyone gave it their all to compete and had fun on a rainy weather weekend. Great Team Spirit!!

Another BIG Thank you to the coaches and parents that helped with Track and Field and Cross-country. St. Ambrose is looking for a volunteer parent or parents to run the 2018 Fall/Spring Track. The 2018 Spring track will be a great opportunity to prepare and learn from the current coaches. If anyone is interested, please contact St. Ambrose office. Keep School Spirit alive!!
A special thanks to St Ambrose's track coaches for supporting the kids in the rain at Sunday's CYO Championship Finals.  "Coach Mom", MaryEllen DeWolfe, waited in the rain at the mid-point of the kids' runs to support them at the turn and keep them motivated to continue their pace.  Coach Mani made sure the kids were able to navigate running style in the mud. The team appreciates you all!!
