On November 7, 2017, you gave 100 youth aged 14-24 from Big Brothers Big Sisters and Boys and Girls Clubs across the country the opportunity to learn about politics and the political process by job shadowing you and your incredible staff.
YOUth In Office is a one-of-a-kind experience where young people attend media training sessions, learn from the experiences of young Indigenous activists and Parliamentary Interns, spend a day with an MP, and attend Question Period in the House of Commons.
This year, YOUth In Office also included the reveal of Instagram’s #KindComments mural—the only one of its kind in Canada—by local artist @RollHerSleeves in downtown
Ottawa. Working with Instagram, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada and Boys and
Girls Clubs of Canada are committed to fostering a supportive and kind environment where everyone can feel free to express who they are—including Parliament Hill.
