It's That Time of Year!

Every year Poinsettias on display in the St. Giles Sanctuary set the stage for the festive events of Advent and Christmas. If you would like to order a Poinsettia in honor or in memory of a loved one, please fill out the Connection Card . 

Orders will be taken through Sunday, December 3.  Poinsettias will be on display from December 10 through Christmas Eve. The cost is $12 each. Your payment confirms the order.  Please mark your check memo "Poinsettias" and place in the offering plate. Thank you .

A Friendly Reminder!

If you haven't had the opportunity to return your pledge card for 2018
you may put it in the offering plate on Sunday.  If you don't have a pledge card 
the ushers will have them available for you to pick up when you come in.

Join us for the annual December Eve family event and the decorating of  the Chrismon Tree. 
A special dinner is being prepared. Please make your reservations on the  Sunday Connection Card. If you plan to attend the program only , please also register the number attending, so that we may have tables set up to accommodate your family.

As an Open Fellowship event,  Jeff Butler is organizing this theater opportunity, and has reserved 16 seats.

Women's Fellowship Christmas Party

Sunday, December 10 at 4 PM

Women's Fellowship will be having their Christmas Party on Sunday, December 10 at 4 PM. Those with reserved tickets will leave from St. Giles after the party to attend the *Derbyshire Baptist's music program.  St. Giles' reserved  Tickets are no longer available for the concert, but ALL women are invited to attend the party. Please RSVP Patience Flynn if you plan to attend the party.

*If you signed up to go to Derbyshire Baptist Church on December 10 following the party, your tickets are in Patience's office.  You can either come by the office or call and she will mail your ticket.

Note: If you wish to attend the Derbyshire event, but did not reserve a seat with St. Giles, tickets may still be available directly through Derbyshire Baptist. Click for info   on dates and showtimes available.

CrossOver Christmas Families   From your family to their family!

It's that time of year again, when you can help make Christmas extra special for a family in need.  Christmas can be an especially tough time for some of our patients. When you struggle to pay the rent and buy food, it can be nearly impossible to find anything leftover for presents. 

Each year we match CrossOver families in need with those who want to help. 

Here's how it works:
  1. You get a list of ages, sizes, and things the children like. 
  2.  You do the shopping. This is a great activity for family/friends to do together! 
  3. You drop off the gifts and we schedule pick up. 
  4. You, your family, your business, or your church group can make Christmas dreams come true for some very deserving kids!

It's time to start preparing for a visit from the CARITAS ladies again. St. Giles week is the 3rd week in February in which Valentine's Day falls. First let us thank everyone who took on this call to service in the past and we're asking you to consider to bless these ladies with your presence again this year. And, if you have not had the opportunity to serve in this manner, please consider joining us this year. We need people to help with meals preparation and serving, laundry, showers, sleepovers, entertainment, and set up/tear down.
