Christmas Concert at Bohm Theatre on December 13th
Stirling Books and Brew is sponsoring a first annual Christmas Concert at the Bohm Theatre, featuring the Capital City Brass Band with "A Highland Christmas"!  The Capital City Brass Band (CCBB) was the FIRST live music performance in the refurbished Bohm Theatre in 2014, and is back for 2017 and planned for every year going forward.

Yesterday's News Plans Special Hours for Albion Aglow and Albion Land
 
Yesterday's News store in downtown Albion has set special hours for the week following Small Business Saturday on Nov. 25 and leading up to Albion Aglow Parade and Downtown Open House on Friday, Dec. 1. 
 
The week of Nov. 26, the vintage, antiques and collectibles store at 111 S. Superior St., will be open from 10 am to 5 pm Monday through Wednesday, 1 to 7 pm Thursday, 1 to 9 pm Friday for the Downtown Open House and 10 am to 3 pm Saturday.
 
The store is open extra days to enable those playing Albion Land to get their cards stamped and to offer enhanced shopping opportunities during what is often the busiest week of holiday shopping.

The Recreation Department serves all City of Albion residents and residents who reside in the immediate surrounding areas.
 
 
   
 
Free Zumba Classes will be offered by the Recreation Department on Monday, November 20th, Tuesday, November 21st, Wednesday, November 22nd, Friday, November 24 and Saturday, November 25thAll classes will be held at the Albion Community Center Gym located at the Marshall Opportunity High School, 225 Watson Street.  There is NO FEE for these classes and there is no pre-registration required.  The classes on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday will be from 6:00 - 7:00 pm; the Saturday class will be from 10:00 am - 11:00 a.m.



 

 

 

 

The next Water Aerobics Session began on November 7, 2017 and will end on December 21, 2017.  Classes will not be offered the week of November 20, 2017 due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.  The FEE for the classes is $30.00 if paid in advance or $3.00 per session.  You can register at Albion Rec Desk.

Play Right Basketball Academy: 

 

SCHEDULE CHANGE:

Beginning November 1, 2017, Play Right Basketball Academy will be offered on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from        4:00 -6:00 p.m. @ the Albion Community Center.

 This program is for all students, boys and girls in grades 3rd-8th and will run throughout the school year.  The Academy is offered in partnership with the Battle Creek YMCA.  Milton Barnes is the Program Director. There is a $10.00 per month FEE.  Further questions can be directed to Milton Barnes mbarnes@playrightbasketball.com

  

 

 

 

 

Adult Open Gym (Basketball): SCHEDULE CHANGE:  Beginning November 1, 2017 Adult Open Gym will be on  Tuesday and Thursday evenings from  6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.  Fee-$1.00 per session

 

 

 

 

 

Open Gym-SCHEDULE CHANGE:  Beginning November 1, 2017, Grades 5-8 Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. -9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. @ Albion Community Center Fee-$1.00

 

 

 

The Recreation Department will take part in the Harrington Town Hall meeting for parents and interested Community members on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the Harrington School Gymnasium.

GREEN SCENE POP UP SHOP
OPENS FOR THE HOLIDAYS!
 
Albion has a new pop up shop downtown on Superior Street! Green Scene of Marshall has opened a pop up shop at Stirling Books & Brew. The shop features specialty items such as soaps, woolen hats and mittens, chemical-free products, and much more! Store Hours from November 15 through January 5 are:
Monday through Saturday 12pm-7pm and Sunday 12pm-5pm.
