ALADS Donates $2,000 to Help Find the Murderer of Baltimore Homicide Investigator Sean Suiter
ALADS donated $2,000 to join with the United Coalition of Public Safety ( UCOPS) in offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the murderer who killed Baltimore Homicide Detective Sean Suiter.

At their Friday, November 17, 2017 board meeting, the ALADS Board of Directors voted to donate $2,000 towards the reward for information leading to the arrest of 
the murderer of Baltimore Detective Sean Suiter.

According to news reports, Detective Suiter, 43, died after being shot in the head while in a violent section of the Harlem Park neighborhood of West Baltimore. The detective was investigating a 2016 murder when he encountered the unknown suspect.

Detective Suiter, who had his police badge displayed, tried to engage the suspect in conversation and was almost immediately shot. He died at Maryland Trauma Center surrounded by his wife, children and fellow officers.

Detective Suiter, who was born in Washington, D.C., was well loved by Baltimore PD and had received several commendations for his work. He was an 18-year veteran of the Baltimore Police Department and leaves behind his wife, Nicole and five children.  Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh said that Suiter was, " a police officer who gave his life doing his duty. A former Navy officer who has served his country and has served his city well. He will be sorely missed."

At the time of this email blast, the total rewards for information leading to the arrest of Detective Suiter's murderer has reached $215,000.00.
