RIVERSIDE REPORTERS

Boys and girls on the Reporters staff will learn the art and discipline of journalism through imaginative and inspiring experiences. Under the guidance of a Master Tutor they will work together to publish both print and online editions of the Riverside newspaper and to produce a news segment alongside Riverside Film.

Riverside Folk & Swing Band Sessions are group music lessons for boys and girls (Folk: ages 8-14, Swing: ages 9-16). Placement is determined by skill level in coordination with the Director.

WORLD BUILDER SESSION

Imaginative learning at its best. World Builder is part of our main Tutorial program & is now being offered as a stand alone session.

Boys will create a first person journal of a character who encounters the people, customs, language, artifacts, creatures, and geography of a fantasy culture. Hand-drawn pictures, as well as diary entries, present a vision of this world, glimpsed through snapshots. These entries are rewritten and illustrated on specially prepared paper, and bound using string, cardboard and leather to make an attractive tome.
