This week is a short week for YGS students. The students have school tomorrow and Tuesday, but there is a one hour early dismissal for PM Early Childhood, PM Kindergarten and all 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students Tuesday afternoon. AM Early Childhood and AM Kindergarten have a regular day on Tuesday. Thanksgiving break begins on Wednesday for all students, with no school Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. I hope you enjoy the week with your family. School resumes on Monday, November 27th.

As Thanksgiving approaches, I'd like to take this opportunity to express my thanks for the YGS families and the support you provide to your child and to our school. From ensuring your child gets to school each day, to reading with them each evening, to volunteering in your child's classroom and to the countless hours you put in making sure their social-emotional needs are met, I thank you! Without you as a partner in your child's education, YGS would not be the place it is everyday. Thank you for all you do for our school.

  • We apologize we canceled the meeting last week. We hope you will join us for our meeting in JANUARY, not December, as we have chosen not to have a December meeting as we recognize how busy the month of December can be for families.
  • It is with a heavy heart that we officially announce that Michelle Rajda has stepped down as treasurer. After countless hours, days, years of service to the YGS PTO, the time has come for her to move on. Michelle will continue to serve an important role in our PTO and as a board member, she will be missed. Thank you Michelle for your passion, organization, and commitment to the PTO for these many years. The PTO Board has unanimously appointed Michelle McMahon as our new treasurer.
