FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL REMINDERS
Redmond High School staff are excited to welcome students and families to the 2017-18 school year!  Below are a few reminders about the first week of school.
  • Tuesday 9/5: First Day of School Information Packets go home, schedule distribution.
    • Look for the Student/Parent Laptop Agreement Form. This needs to be signed and brought back on laptop checkout days.
    • Look for the Picture Packet from Dorian Studios. Picture Day is 9/7.
    • Students will go to their Homeroom class to receive their schedule
      • Grade level rosters will be printed for students to find their Homeroom classroom.
  • Wednesday 9/6: Laptop Checkout Grades 11 and 12.
  • Thursday 9/7: Picture Day.
    • If purchasing pictures, students should bring a picture packet form with them.
    • You may purchase pictures online here:  https://ios.mydorian.com, School Access Key: WW5A7H8Y
    • Students will receive their ID cards.  If they have purchased ASB prior to picture day, this will be noted on their card.
  • Friday 9/8: Laptop Checkout Grades 9 and 10.
    • Students must bring a signed Laptop Agreement form to checkout a laptop.
  • New fencing along the west perimeter of the school campus.
    • As part of our work in school safety, each year we review and evaluate the best ways to keep our campus safe and our students secure.  By limiting access points to campus we are better able to monitor who is on campus during the school day.
    • The west side of campus is particularly problematic in terms of security since we have no direct line of sight there.  For that reason, we have determined that prohibiting access at that point is a necessity.  The district has installed a fence there and that fence will increase the security of the school grounds.
    • We know that this will be a change for students who live or park in the neighborhood west of campus.  We hope you will see that this is a necessity for their protection and worth the minor inconvenience it will cause them. If your student has used this as an entrance to the school, a new route will be necessary.
    • During school hours, all visitors should enter campus through the 104th St parking lot.  Visitors must sign in at the Main Office.  During school hours, campus is closed to all non-school related activities (use of the track, dog walking, etc.).  Students who park off campus are able to exit the property via 104th St.
    • As always, our goal is to limit access in the interest of safety.

WASHINGTON'S HEALTHCARE PIONEER: GROUP HEALTH COOPERATIVE. Saturday, September 9th @ 10:30am. Think the Seattle area is progressive now?
